SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

This is what the borg looked like shortly after its first assimilation. G&W C424m's 62 & 63 lead R&S train RS-1 on the little bridge over Battin Road in Rock Glen, NY on August 11, 1986. Power was initially the pair of C424m's along with leased P&LE SW switchers. Chessie power would also run through from Salamanca. By this time the fleet of GP40's were arriving on the property too.

While doing my usual blog shots today I decided to try a few new headshots. Number 1 is my fave... but I might just look like a goofy cartoon in all of them... thoughts?

X-Pro2 - Voigtlander 50 1.5 VM

29 maart 2019

Mam Tor • Peak District National Park • New Year’s Day 2022

In an attempt to upload a little more regularly in 2022 I have decided to complete a landscape Project 52. The aim: to take one photo a week for the entire of 2022. And with the outlook of a good sunrise in the morning, what better time to start it off than the first one of the year.

I was a bit worried when I arrived at the packed car park an hour before sunrise but, thankfully, it was nice and quiet once I climbed over the peak and wandered down to the gate. Then the wait for the sun to rise began.

It was not a colourful sky at all but, once the sun rose above the clouds on the horizon, it bathed the gate in a beautiful golden light. I must say it was not a bad way to start the year.

Happy New Year everyone!

I must be mad!

Its very early I know but the tree is up and its been another rotten year and I had an opportunity to take a picture with (as?) the Christmas fairy. There will be more seasonal photos to come but for now may I wish everyone who has been kind enough to look at and comment on my pics a safe and enjoyable December with Christmas wishes still to come!
