It's been a long time since I've had a good pizza. This one was great! PORT, located on Frenchman's Bay in Pickering, may just be the only restaurant in Durham County located right on the waterfront. The ambiance is outstanding, especially in the evening, watching the sun set over the bay. Beautiful!

 

The food is also pretty darn good! Since reopening after a COVID shutdown, their menu has been pared down but still has some great tasting food, mostly lighter fare.

 

We tried their Chicken Caprese Pizza (basil pesto, cherry tomatoes, Parmesan, white sauce), done in their wood fired pizza oven. It was absolutely delicious!

 

PORT was recently nominated for 27 awards in Ajax Pickering's News Advertiser Readers' Choice Awards, all well deserved! I wish them luck in the voting!
