This is Sumida river passing through Asakusa, Tokyo. On the left is the headquarters of the Asahi Beer company, a famous landmark. It is roughly shaped and colored based on a glass of beer. Winding around it is the metropolitan expressway route 6. In the center is the Azuma bridge which appeared in another photo a few days ago.

Just as the gods lose their grip on time
there's a twilight for people
But I've found the perfect grave;
it has three beer taps
bathed in gold, to deliver*
(I'm not referring to the sexual meaning)
its cool tsunami-like froth
*The original verb has ambiguous meaning in Spanish slang

This friendly little robin joined us by the edge of the cliff at Beer in Devon, obviously hoping to find something to eat. He followed us closely, often coming within a couple of feet. Sadly, we didn't have any food with us so we returned the next day, hoping he would feed from our hands. We waited to see if he would come back but unfortunately he had decided to move on.
Beer, Devon, has a rich history intertwined with both brewing and smuggling. While the village is not known for its brewing history, it gained notoriety for its role as a smuggling base, particularly during the 18th and early 19th centuries. The village's secluded location and access to caves made it an ideal spot for smugglers, most famously led by Jack Rattenbury, who was born in Beer.

This was so much fun!!
A sunset cruise on Lake Argyle...they pull the boat up in the middle of the lake, throw in a whole lot of floaty noodles and "insist" everybody gets in for a swim - I had to go in fully clothed! Some of noodles have been hollowed out and have bottles of wine and cans of beer stuffed into them!!.
Its the perfect floating bar - happy days.
The water is so deep its quite safe to dive off the top deck.
The only slightly disconcerting aspect is we'd also spent quite a deal of time looking at crocs...but fortunately only the timid freshwawter type :)
From our coastal hike last Sunday and a short stop at the pebble beach in Beer before heading back home. Some dramatic weather that day!
Mack brewery had a very nice range of beers, and I think I tasted them all onboard MS Nordnorge.. but I have no idea which of them is in the glass this time!
Somewhere north of Tromsö, northern Norway.
It's a gallon of gas, or a cold six pack
One goes in my tank, one comes in a sack
Makes life complicated when it costs the same
Hell it ain't no fun, to do without one
But I'll do a lot of walkin' if my motor don't run
It's a tough ol' choice to make if you know what I mean
It's either beer or gasoline...

I found this to be quite inspiring yesterday for some reason. About nine beers and four shots into the St. Patty's festivities.
昨日mamaが日本橋の「上海楽天地」と言うビルでゲットしたものです。
旅行した時のこと思い出してうれしくなって買ったんだって^^~

「家に栓抜きってあったっけ?」
どやって飲むんだろう。。。
Maybe some day I'll think of what to say.
Maybe next time I'll remember what to do,
She looks like heaven, maybe this is hell,
Said she'd do it all again, promised not to tell!
If i get drunk well, I'll pass out on the floor now baby
you won't bother me no more (and she said)
"it's ok boy cause you know we'll be good friends" (and I say),
"I think I'll have myself a beer".

Picked this up when I was in Beijing. Drank it today for lunch. Tasted like one of those wine cooler thingees.
By the way, shot this on my new D700 using a 70-200VR. This lens vignettes terribly at 200mm wide open, check out the corners of this shot. It kind of works for this photo, but I rather add this myself in post than have every single one of my shots look like this. Unacceptable, really, for a $1700 lens.
