This weekend's additions to my home: the little red antique Japanese lacquer table, $20, TWO milk glass hobnail lamps, with yellow shades, $8, prettiest vintage dress (must be at least from the $50's), in perfect condition, for my flowers girl's birthday, $6. Such is antiquing on Long Island. The couch was my grandma's, was in my parents first cottage, and has been mine since I was 5, has moved with me to every location I have lived in since then. The pillow in front was hand-embroidered by my mom when she was a little girl (and she almost threw it out!), and the very special book on the bottom was a very special present :). And so finally we have a perfect reading nook!
