Tiny houses are in vogue these days

Exploring the surroundings of Senja and its landscapes in northern Norway

While walking the streets of downtown in Lancaster, I saw this charming tiny house and I loved it! Yes, I could live in one like this! 😊 Have a great weekend!

Thank you very much for your kind comments and visit, much appreciated!

This house is used to stock food and are quite common on the farms in Norway.

Lovely houses, some of them can be quite tiny, but they all are a bit up from the ground to prevent mice to enter easily

“It’s not how big the house is, it’s how happy the home is.”

Golden Lane (Zlatá ulička), dates back to the late 16th century, originally built to house the castle guards under the reign of Emperor Rudolf II. The small, colorful houses were later inhabited by goldsmiths, which likely gave the street its name, though the legend of hidden alchemists working for the emperor also contributed to the romantic image of the lane. Over the centuries, the modest homes were occupied by a variety of residents, including artists, craftsmen, and even notable figures—Franz Kafka briefly lived at house no. 22 (the blue house visible on the left side of the image).

My neighbor town 3km from my house is called Freinsheim or in other words the Palatinate Rothenburg. It is surrounded by a medieval city wall. I went there again to shoot a series of photos with my new camera body.

From time to time I will show here some impressions

Another of the unusual houses on Quadra Island, BC that looks like a caboose but likely was a ship. Another house I heard about on Quadra had a car sticking out of the second floor of the house, used as a reading room! Would love to find and photograph that some day!

Simplicity

I like simple things. I found this tiny house in one of my favourite shops. A simple idea using up odd scraps of wood. It's one of my "I wish I'd thought of doing that"

I also like it's not upright.

While hiking through the Mergelland I photographed these little houses.
