Several generations old. HWW Co.
Made in Waltham Mass. 17 jewels.
The exif data has a wrong aperture; it should read f/5.6. The 58mm ought to read 60mm. I will try to fix...
Reminder: In January 2022 I asked for help, and a Flickr support hero removed both of my accounts from the Explore algorithm. I feel more relaxed ;-)

For centuries, both furniture and domestic artifacts used in Brazil came from abroad, especially from Europe. Here we see one of the stores that sell these pieces that now no longer fit in the new homes of their former owners.
Located in Gravatá, Pernambuco, Northeast Brazil

The one on top is a book of poetry given to my father by his mother. The inscription is dated 1946.
The bottom book is about Earth Sciences and was owned by my grandfather, signed and dated 1903.
FYI: the combined thickness of the books is 6 cm.

For Macro Mondays - Holes
----------------------------------------
This antique replica brooch has a hole on each side to show the lace (with many holes) through the metal. It is 2 inches from the bottom to the top of the metal. I've worn it for years, despite losing some of the pearls. It's been one of my favorites. HMM, Everyone ! !
I found this wonderful window display of marble top bottles in an antique shop in Hazelbrook, Blue Mountains, NSW.
The light was lovely.

Shot from the car in Howden. I got out then went into the Minster Church just to the right of this shot. The building on the corner is Churchside Antiques Shop. I dont know what next door is, but loud music boomed out spoiling a peaceful Sunday afternoon.
This was a quicky, unthinking shot. I didnt expect to like it as much as I do :o)
Many thanks for all of your support and kindness, it is apreciated.

On this day where my wife and I went antiquing through a whole series of shops this store at the end of the day was the most nicest and impressive of the bunch and unlike such stores several decades ago or in Europe today to some degree you can see with most American antique dealers these days it's a very heavy emphasis on Americana and not European items such as fancy chandeliers, vases or statues of cherubs which are considered as just tacky and gaudy by most younger buyers and just don't sell much anymore.

Part of my antique tool collection, Some are 200 years old,
Molding wooden planes I have the most, That torpedo and and the other level are British, one from Birmingham, the rest on the photo are American,
I had to include 2 of my favorite woods, Tiger maple and Cocobolo rosewood,
Inspired by John Worfold's comment under the previous drawing:sabotage. It has woodworm so it's really old:-)
