We Love Roleplay opens tomorrow (one day later than usual because of the US holiday) and there is a wealth of fantasy roleplay awesomeness! I adore this perfectly vintage dress and hat/hair combo by Belle Epoque! The dress has the most beautifully vibrant texture with sweet folds and balanced lighting. Adore, capital A!!! The garden items are a combination of DRD and ...

Uglich (Russian: Углич, IPA: [ˈuɡlʲɪtɕ]) is a historic town in Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia, located on the Volga River. Population: 34,507.
A local tradition dates the town's origins to 937. It was first documented in 1148 as Ugliche Pole (Corner Field). The town's name is thought to allude to the nearby turn in the Volga River, and is derived from the Russian word ugol (a corner, a nook).
From 1218 until 1328, Uglich was the seat of a small princedom. At that time, the local princes sold their rights to the great prince of Moscow. Uglich was a border town of the Grand Duchy of Moscow, and it was burned several times in conflicts by Lithuanians, Tatars, and the grand prince of Tver.
Grand Duke Ivan III of Moscow gave the town in 1462 to his younger brother Andrey Bolshoy (Andrey the Great). During Andrey's reign, the town was expanded and the first stone buildings were constructed. Particularly notable were the cathedral (rebuilt in 1713), the Intercession Monastery (destroyed by the Bolsheviks in the early 20th century Revolution), and the red-brick palace of the prince (completed in 1481 and still standing).
Here, we find ourselves back in San Diego, on the trolley ride through Balboa Park. These colours made me feel like I was breathing in more deeply than I had in so long, somehow.
To my dear contacts who are so very sweet… I wish I could fully express how much I appreciate you. I have recently received several lovely and delightful Flickrmails that I really needed on this otherwise frustrating day. I cannot thank you enough for these messages, as well as all of you for your wonderful streams, your frequent support, comments, faves, and general coolness. Yay to you. I hope I get the opportunity to meet some of you in my upcoming travels.

One of our most familiar eastern flycatchers, the Eastern Phoebe’s raspy “phoebe” call is a frequent sound around yards and farms in spring and summer. These brown-and-white songbirds sit upright and wag their tails from prominent, low perches. They typically place their mud-and-grass nests in protected nooks on bridges, barns, and houses, which adds to the species’ familiarity to humans. Hardy birds, Eastern Phoebes winter farther north than most other flycatchers and are one of the earliest returning migrants in spring.
Jasper likes to explore all the nooks and crannies of the desert. This in the Superstition Mountains. We keep a close eye out for rattlesnakes, but we've never seen one on any of our Arizona hikes.
Despite its name the Common Gull is one of Britain's rarer breeding gulls. In winter though they are more widespread. I believe that in America this gull is known as a Mew Gull.
This non breeding example was photographed at the seal colony at Donna Nook in Lincolnshire.
This juvenile grey seal bull had been hanging out on its own but appeared from behind a dune to see what was going on. Photo taken at Donna Nook.
In which I've run out of ideas to name a pic.

Occupying a hollow this little seal looks as though it is hiding from something or maybe it had found a sheltered spot.
When I was growing up dad always told me that a starlings were pests. As a result I never really appreciated them.
A close look at this one in its winter plumage photographed at Donna Nook last Friday reveals how colourful they are and how wrong both dad and I were.

This is a spot I have been referring to as the "Corn Nook." It is about a quarter of a mile from where we were living out in the country near Colchester (until we moved into Macomb). This tree stood by itself in a patch of grass between the blacktop pavement and a field, which had been planted with corn. To take the picture, I had to set up the tripod on the road... but fortunately, I could always hear the cars coming half a mile away.

I think the mothers milk might have a drop to much wine in it:-) The one on the left=Half a bottle. The one on the right=Full bottle and the little one at the back found the vat.......... The Seals are born on a Royal Air Force training ground used for bombing practice so you would think sleep would be hard to come by.
Well for one young seal this seems not to be the case.
Donna nook is located on the low lying coast of North Lincolnshire.
