He will be a professional soccer (football, to most of the world) player one day. Mark my word. He and his family were in the neighborhood, and dropped by for dinner. He graciously gave me about ten minutes for the shoot, and we walked away with this portrait. He was laughing in most of the outtakes. There were three lights working in this one. Our key is a socked beauty dish at camera-left, and it supplies all the light on his visage. At camera-right and behind G is a second strobe with a blue gel. I always like a rim light to separate the subject from the background. Lastly, there is a third strobe at camera-left, and it adds a more subtle edge to his right shoulder.
