I took this photo of a wax figure of Rick Genest at a Montreal street festival a few years ago. It was so life like it was insane. Rick passed away in August of 2018.
A Sri Lankan boy runs out of the water. Does he have to get something? Did something sting him? We do not know. In the background typical Sri Lankan fishing boats.

The restaurant´s picturesque location by Siglufjord marina creates the opportunity for its guests to view local fishermen bring in their catch of the day, which later might end on Hannes Boy´s dishes.
The name, Hannes Boy, comes from an old sailor that used to spend his time outside of the newly renovated houses. He was popular with the locals and the kids which is where he got his name “BOY” from.

I think it's awesome that my boys get to grow up surrounded by this. And that we get out in it enough that they're completely comfortable tossing rocks off of a cliff.
Ihr dürft mich gern ausschimpfen, dass dieses Bild ein wenig überentwickelt ist. Dieser Truck hatte mich vollkommen in seinen Bann gezogen. Er stand dort wie ein wirklich böser Junge – breit, gefährlich, abweisend –, so dass ich mich kaum zu nähern wagte, um ihn zu fotografieren. Er wirkte einschüchternd, fast herausfordernd, als würde er seinen Raum verteidigen.
Ein paar Schritte noch, dann tauchte auch sein Besitzer auf. Ein Trucker, überraschend freundlich, offen, beinahe herzlich – und selbst fast so monumental wie sein Truck. Die Spannung löste sich augenblicklich. Ich fragte ihn, ob es in Ordnung sei, ein Foto zu machen, und er lachte nur und meinte, das sei überhaupt kein Problem.
In diesem Moment verlor der Truck seinen bedrohlichen Ausdruck und wurde zu dem, was er vermutlich immer war: ein beeindruckendes Gefährt – nur ein bisschen überentwickelt.
You’re welcome to scold me for the fact that this image is slightly over-processed. This truck had completely captured my attention. It stood there like a truly bad boy—wide, dangerous, unapproachable—so that I hardly dared to move closer to photograph it. It felt intimidating, almost challenging, as if it were defending its space.
Just a few steps closer, its owner appeared. A trucker, surprisingly friendly, open, almost warm—and himself nearly as monumental as his truck. The tension dissolved immediately. I asked whether it was all right to take a photo, and he simply laughed and said it was no problem at all.
In that moment, the truck lost its threatening expression and became what it probably always was: an impressive vehicle—just a little over-processed.
