Saint Mary's Parish Church stands at the south west corner of Lindisfarne village on the tidal Holy Island of Lindisfarne. In some ways the church is dominated by the ruins, immediately to its east, of Lindisfarne Priory. The two share a common heritage and although St Mary's was for many centuries less important than its neighbour, it can now lay claim to standing on a site in use for Christian worship for some 1400 years.
This is taken from St Mary's churchyard looking through to the ruins of Lindisfarne Priory. Behind that and beyond the bay stands Lindisfarne Castle.

The Hungarian Parliament Building, also known as the Parliament of Budapest for being located in that city, is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, one of Europe's oldest legislative buildings, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination of Budapest. It lies in Lajos Kossuth Square, on the bank of the Danube. It is currently the largest building in Hungary and still the tallest building in Budapest.

Ingresso all'abitato di Codera, m. 850. Per arrivare a Codera occorre risalire una lunga mulattiera che parte quasi dal lago di Mezzola. Si fa fatica a salire e all'arrivo non si è accolti con un tappeto di rosso velluto, ma da quello che la Natura offre: un tappeto di foglie secche.
Sullo sfondo il sass Becchè, m.2728 e il Gruf, m. 2936.

Several red-and-green macaw couples (ara chloropterus) can be found inside and nearby the magnificent doline formation localized in Bonito, Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil. The so called "Buraco das Araras" (from portuguese meaning Macaws' Hole) has a diameter over 500m and 100m depth and the amazing birds' nests are everywhere along the walls craters. With 1,5kg and 0,90m wingspan, this beautiful macaw is one of the most beautiful specie from Brazilian "cerrado".

The Cube Berlin: A window washer's dream. Or nightmare? And a friendly reminder to myself that now that the scaffolding in front of our part of the house is finally, finally gone, I should clean the windows, because they look terrible after the renovation. But it's winter, right? Much too cold to clean the windows, because I don't want to heat the street, right? And please don't say "That's procrastination!". It's just common sense. Yes. It is. Definitely :)

Der Cube Berlin mit seiner rundherum verglasten, pyramidenförmig nach innen gefalteten Fassade ist sicherlich eines jeden Fensterputzers Traum. Oder eher Albtraum? Die auf Hochglanz polierte Glaskonstruktion erinnert mich auf jeden Fall auch daran, dass ich nun, da das Baugerüst endlich von unserem Teil des Hauses verschwunden ist, eigentlich Fenster putzen sollte, denn sie sehen trotz Schutzfolie (die allerdings ein wenig zu früh wieder entfernt wurde) einfach schrecklich aus. Also Albtraum. Aber wir haben ja noch Winter und draußen ist es kalt. Und ich möchte bestimmt nicht nach draußen heizen. Schließlich sollen wir Energie sparen. Sagt hier jetzt jemand etwa "Verzögerungstaktik, Ausrede!"? Aber nein, das ist bloß gesunder Menschenverstand, nicht wahr? Eben :)

MYANMAR ,burma - Old-Bagan , zum Sonnenuntergang auf die Shwesandaw-Pagode,
Zum Sonnenuntergang total überfüllt.
Die Stufenpyramide hat fünf quadratische Terrassen, dann zwei achteckige Zwischenstufen und schließlich den klassischen zylindrischen Stupa-Aufbau mit Glocke, Turban, doppeltem Lotus, Bananenknospe und Hti. An den vier Seiten führen bis zur fünften Terrasse Treppen hinauf. Früher dienten sie den Gläubigen, damit sie die inzwischen verschwundenen Terrakotta-Platten mit Szenen aus den Jatakas auf den einzelnen Terrassen erreichen konnten; heutzutage steigen Touristen hinauf, um den Sonnenuntergang zu bewundern.

Frías es un municipio y ciudad de España, al norte de la provincia de Burgos, comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León. La ciudad es la cabecera del municipio, enmarcado en la comarca de Las Merindades, partido judicial de Villarcayo.
Sobre el cerro de La Muela, y cercana al ancho y caudaloso río Ebro, se constituyó un enclave estratégico de paso de dicho río, desde la época romana y sobre todo en época medieval, que unía la costa cantábrica y la meseta, dando lugar a la notable prosperidad de Frías y de su conjunto monumental.
Mantiene una estructura urbana medieval que corona el castillo de los Velasco y la iglesia de San Vicente. Los edificios mantienen un sistema constructivo en el que van adosándose entre sí. La solana del piso superior emplea toba y entramado de madera.
Junto a los municipios de Oña y Poza de la Sal conforma la mancomunidad Raíces de Castilla.
Frías is a municipality and city in Spain, north of the province of Burgos, autonomous community of Castilla y León. The city is the head of the municipality, framed in the region of Las Merindades, judicial district of Villarcayo.
On the hill of La Muela, and close to the wide and mighty river Ebro, a strategic enclave was established for the passage of said river, since Roman times and especially in medieval times, which linked the Cantabrian coast and the plateau, giving rise to the notable prosperity of Frías and its monumental complex.
It maintains a medieval urban structure that crowns the castle of the Velasco family and the church of San Vicente. The buildings maintain a constructive system in which they are attached to each other. The sunroom on the upper floor uses tuff and timber framing.
Together with the municipalities of Oña and Poza de la Sal, it forms the Raíces de Castilla commonwealth.
