View towards west from the observation deck of the new Shanghai Tower, currently the tallest building in Shanghai and the second tallest in the world.
This is the big Huangpu River bend, with the Bund, the mouth of Suzhou Creek and the twin towers of the Shanghai IFC in the lower foreground.
I added some notes to identify buildings or other features in the picture, some of these notes contain links.
And, as usual, flickr wrongly assigns "Hongkou" as location name.

The very extensive remains of a 13th century priory, founded on the site of a retired pirate's hermitage.
Part of it later served as a holiday retreat for the monks of Durham Cathedral. Beautifully sited by the River Wear with delightful riverside walks nearby.

Binghamton is a city in, and the county seat of, Broome County, New York, United States.[5] It lies in the state's Southern Tier region near the Pennsylvania border, in a bowl-shaped valley at the confluence of the Susquehanna and Chenango Rivers. Binghamton is the principal city and cultural center of the Binghamton metropolitan area (also known as Greater Binghamton, or historically the Triple Cities), home to a quarter million people.[2] The population of the city itself, according to the 2010 census, is 47,376.
From the days of the railroad, Binghamton was a transportation crossroads and a manufacturing center, and has been known at different times for the production of cigars, shoes, and computers.[7] IBM was founded nearby, and the flight simulator was invented in the city, leading to a notable concentration of electronics- and defense-oriented firms. This sustained economic prosperity earned Binghamton the moniker of the Valley of Opportunity.[8] However, following cuts made by defense firms after the end of the Cold War, the region has lost a significant portion of its manufacturing industry.

An interior overview of St. Katharina in Garching. The oldest parts of the church date to the 13th century, but most of the current structure was built in the 15th century. In the 18th century the interior was converted to the current Baroque style.

Antwerp (Dutch: Antwerpen; French: Anvers) is the largest city in Belgium by area at 204.51 km2 (78.96 sq mi) and the capital of Antwerp Province in the Flemish Region. With a population of 520,504, it is the most populous city center in Belgium, and with a metropolitan population of around 1,200,000 people; it is the second-largest metropolitan region after Brussels.
Antwerp is on the River Scheldt, linked to the North Sea by the river's Westerschelde estuary. It is about 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of Brussels, and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) south of the Dutch border. The Port of Antwerp is one of the biggest in the world, ranking second in Europe and within the top 20 globally. The city is also welknown for being the hub of diamond industry and trade in the world. In 2020, the Globalization and World Cities Research Network rated Antwerp as a Gamma + (third level/top tier) Global City.
Both economically and culturally, Antwerp is and has long been an important city in the Low Countries, especially before and during the Spanish Fury (1576) and throughout and after the subsequent Dutch Revolt. The Bourse of Antwerp, originally built in 1531 and re-built in 1872, was the world's first purpose-built commodity exchange. It was founded before stocks and shares existed, so was not strictly a stock exchange.
The inhabitants of Antwerp are nicknamed Sinjoren, after the Spanish honorific señor or French seigneur, "lord", referring to the Spanish noblemen who ruled the city in the 17th century. The city hosted the 1920 Summer Olympics.

The silver Y is a medium-sized moth with a wingspan of 30 to 45 mm. The wings are intricately patterned with various shades of brown and grey providing excellent camouflage. In the centre of each forewing there is a silver-coloured mark shaped like a letter Y or a Greek letter Gamma. There are several different forms with varying colours depending on the climate in which the larvae grow. The head almost seems like a head of a monkey.
Mussenden Temple is a small circular building located on cliffs near Castlerock in County Derry, Northern Ireland.
The temple was built in 1785 and forms part of the estate of Frederick Augustus Hervey, the 4th Earl of Bristol, Bishop of Derry.Built as a library and modeled from the Temple of Vesta in Italy, it is dedicated to the memory of Hervey’s cousin Frideswide Mussenden.
The Temple offers views westwards over Downhill Strand towards Magilligan Point and County Donegal, and to the east Castlerock beach towards Portstewart, Portrush and Fair Head.
Both Mussenden Temple and Downhill Beach were used in Game of Thrones as filming locations for Dragonstone. Remember the
burning of the ancient gods by Melisandre on the beach? Well, that was here. And also where Stannis Baratheon pulls the
flaming sword "Light-bringer" out of the flames.
Late afternoon in Coyote Buttes South area (Cottonwood Trailhead).
In the distant background burned a large fire, probably a forest fire near the Zion National Park. The smoke attracted miles to the Vermilion Cliffs.

Detail of the virgin Mary statue behind the high altar. A special design feature is the window behind the Madonna's head, the window acts as a halo, an effect emphasized by the golden rays emanating from the window.
St. Maria (St. Mary) is a Wallfahrtskirche (pilgrimage church) located in Thalkirchen, in the south of Munich. The church was built in Gothic style around 1390, replacing a Romanesque predecessor. The steeple still has some late Romanesque features. In 1693-1698 the church was converted to Baroque style, the appearance of the Madonna with the windew behind is a Rococo work by Ignaz Günther dating to 1759-1769.
