Took this one today down in Newport Beach. There is a heavy storm heading in my direction promising rain for the next 5 days. This is a look at it as it approaches from the west, unfortunately 5 mins after this shot was taken the sun plugged under the cloud layer and shut down any color left in the sky. You should have seen me and about 5 other photographers jaws drop in dismay as the color was sucked out of the clouds. Just 15 mins before sundown there were nice puffy clouds and we were all talking about how epic the sunset was going to be, and in nothing flat the sky turned gray. I have never really believed in jinxes but I think we jinx ourselves. Mother Nature can be a finicky Miss. :)

Temple of Debod was originally erected 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south of Aswan[2] in Upper Egypt. In 1960, due to the construction of the Aswan Dam, the temple was donated to Spain and reconstructed in Madrid.
As we aproached the lake, I heard some fellow hikers exclaim "It looks like they use food colouring here!" I thought: photo-op. I don't use any of the 'magical' settings on my camera, but this time I didn't have my glasses on. When I got back home and looked at the pic on my computer I thought "What the heck!" I must have inadvertantly moved the dial. Even though I almost deleted it, after a while this funky image kind of grew on me. Next time though, I will have my glasses on.

Captured in February on my way home. Bridge at sundown, crossing the new A4 motorway section, that carves straight through rural Midden Delfland. This part of the A4 was recently completed after five decades of planning, protests and delays.

This is what happens doing a long exposition on a cloudy sky at 2000mt OSL. The place looks like Iceland or a similar place but it is Italy, on the Valley of the "Piccolo Sanbernardo". Looks strange enough?
