Velenje has three lakes, which are Lake Velenje, Lake Skale and Lake Druzmir. Lake Velenje is the largest in the valley. It is a nice place for walking, cycling, jogging and doing other activities. Here are also restaurants with good food. In the nearness is a camp. Due to excavation of lignite coal caused the lake. Among them is the largest lake Velenje, which primero also for the implementation of the various sporting activities. Thus, it can be given to the lake with a sailboat, sailing board or board, and the parachute. Funny is also run by canoes and pedelini.
Velenje lake is located in northern Slovenia. You don't find many tourist here but for the locals it's a great place for relaxation. A natural setting where you can spot the Sunfish and enjoying the lush natural beauty.
The Šaleška Valley boasts the largest Slovenian coalmine and the biggest Slovenian thermo power plant. The lignite mining industry in the area contributed to the expansion of the town, especially after World War II. Many people see it simply as an industrial region, but you will be very surprised, when you discover the magnificent blue lakes and wonder underground to discover the thickest layers of coal the Coal mining museum in Velenje.
I really enjoyed this amiable chap ... out hiking in this beautiful forest.

I’ve been struggling for inspiration lately, I’ve been out with the camera on so many occasions, but after reviewing the results on the computer nothing jumps out at me.
This weekend was a prime example, there was some great mist and sunlight but I just couldn’t take advantage!
I did stumble upon this little fella while I was on a mushroom hunt though and this spider seemed to having a whale of a time basking in the sunlight.
Not the most interesting of mushrooms and it wasn’t what I was looking for but I do like the spider ;-)

I always love a symmetrical shot but rarely process one just for the fun of it :) The original shot for this is so-so & looks rather boring to me therefore this is one great chance to do a flip for a more visual impact. Bet you guys can't really tell the difference rite even tho i've left some parts the way it is so you can see :D

La mela nella leggenda
La mela è il frutto per eccellenza. Con la sua forma sferica ha suggerito all’uomo la totalità del cielo e della terra: una specie simbolo del potere massimo terrestre e divino insieme.
Nella tradizione ebraico-cristiana il melo e l’albero del bene e del male, nella mitologia scandinava la mela è il cibo degli dei.
Sono tre mele d’oro che tentano Atalanta a fermarsi e a perdere la scommessa con Ippomene; è una mela d’oro che scatena la guerra di Troia; è una mela il frutto che, consacrato ad Afrodite, a partire dal 3° sec.d.C, in Grecia, viene gettato al giovanetto o alla fanciulla per scegliere il compagno di banchetto; sono mele i frutti dell’immortalità del giardino delle Esperidi che Ercole, nella sua undicesima immane fatica, riesce a conquistare.
La mela, oltre che nella mitologia, ricorre in innumerevoli fiabe ed in tradizioni pseudostoriche; inoltre, da decenni ormai, campeggia anche nel campo della pubblicità.
E così, partendo da quella che cadendo in testa a Newton gli fece intuire il meccanismo della forza di gravità, oppure da quella che ha fatto di Guglielmo Tell l’eroe nazionale del popolo svizzero, arriviamo alla simbologia moderna che, fra l’altro, la vuole citata nello slogan di una famosa ditta di costruttrice di motoscooter e come nome del primo personal computer a dimensioni ridotte.
Era anche il simbolo della casa discografica fondata dai beatles nel lontano 1968.

That's how I feel..when I am hiding in a stress-free place, where the only sounds you can hear are the morning owls or your own steps in the layer of fallen golden leaves. It is quite cold, outside, but the Nature looks so enchanted that no one cares. :) PS: Another great morning trip with my friend Max.. more photos to come :) One (of myself) is below

Ecco ciò che sento accadere, quando mi nascondo in un luogo lontano dallo stress.. quando l'unico suono che si può sentire è quello dei gufi al mattino o il rumore dei propri passi sulle foglie cadute. No... it was spectacular! This was taken from the Berkeley Pier looking through the Golden Gate - truly red sails in the sunset (now THERE's an oldie - most of you weren't even born yet when this was popular!). It was so pretty but my photo wasn't doing it justice, so I did a "little" sliding, applied a little Photoshop paint, and NOW it looks like I remembered it that magical Sunday night last week. HSS!

The Beatles - Here comes the sun
Really this is the best time of year to visit the park. The warmth us summer is still with us but snippets of cool air tease us in the early morning. The busy season has not yet arrived so you can have a lot of quite beach front to yourself. Fish are starting to migrate and so are the birds. The fall arrays of flowers are coming out visited by butterflies.
I was dreaming to capture this image for quite some time now, so we decide to take advantage of my sister's visit and... off we went to the opposite site of Fort Lauderdale, to The Gulf of Mexico: Naples and Marco Island, oh yes babe, those places are quite beautiful: sunsets, birds, seashells and stunning homes that took our breath away.

Well its not the first time I have captured ghosts in my shots. Check out my first comment to see the other shot with ghosts but this is different in 2 ways
1. The ghost in this case is me :))
2. In my previous shot, I selectively colored the ghosts and kept everything in B&W .. in this one I did the inverse. That's me in B&W, keeping everything else in its natural color.
I wanted to depict something like time travel, where I've been transported to this different era and am gazing at these marvelous structures in amazement.
I got this from my last weeks trip to Golconda fort in Hyderabad. I loved this part of the fort and although it looks quite bright in this shot, it was a very dark place so I had to use long exposure of 8 seconds to get this much light into the frame. I ran and stood there for 4 of those 8 seconds to get the ghosting effect.

En la hora azul y desde la orilla contraria del rio Duero pille esta panoramica de la parte antigua de Zamora en el momento que las luces se empezaban a encenderse en la ciudad.

I was deep in the Florida wilderness this summer, taking pictures of a Golden Silk Spider when all of a sudden, this odd looking creature appeared in the background. I only got a brief look before it disappeared into the dense brush nearby. I can't be sure but I think this may be the legendary Skunk Ape, Florida's version of Bigfoot.
One of the spider's legs was missing. I noticed that many of the other arachnids in the area were also missing legs. I'm guessing Skunk Apes consider arachnid legs to be a delicacy.
