Both parties appeared to be zoned out on their phones instead of taking in this magical moment of twilight

This 1 sec exposure highlights the whip action effect on the riders.
This evening image was taken with the San Luis Obispo Camera Club field trip. Which, BTW, club members were asked to leave the premises because security had complaints from parents that those naughty camera folks might be taking pictures of little Johnny or Joanie. (?)

Being outside laying in the grass makes Drusilla feel so zen. She celebrated the first dandelion of the season.

*I'm having a very hard time using flickr (for a few days now)...even on my phone app. I either get "Bad Panda" or a blank screen. I will continue to try to comment (on your photos and mine). Sorry if it takes a little time. 😟

Starting back at uni soon for my second year at Brighton! Working on a couple other photos at the moment too so watch this space!
This is an idea I've had scribbled in my notebook for ages, reminds me of one of my first ever surreal photos I made, about 2 years ago, and I'm pretty pleased with how I've improved

Abandoned motel, Kingston NY.
Room upon room of moldy ceilings and defecated beddings. A sign of the times.
Super Sprint, Claremont, Florida. The transition zone is the coolest place on earth. I love watching them run in there, pop on their shoes, grab their bikes, and roll on out. For my baby, it's a reward for finishing the swim ... a nice, easy bike ride.
Oh, and I love how he looks like the boys on the poster, all athletic and stuff.

What's this- me adding additional light!? It just doesn't seem proper.
It was a very, very dark night by the time we had retreated halfway down the building. To get a sense of the room at all, the ever handy Michael did some light painting with my (rapidly overheating) torch. At the sea-facing side of the building we felt safe to create light. At the 'front' side however, we hid in the darkness as we realised we were in full view of a lady looking out of her window. Please don't call the police!, I hoped.
These wide windows were rather oppressive in the standard rooms but here (not sure what this room was) the open space made great use of an entire wall of windows. The landscape stretched out all the way across - it was really interesting.
Black Guillemots / cepphus grylle. Oban, Scotland. 15/05/22.
I watched Black Guillemot courtship behaviour whilst pairs were swimming and also, when they flew to the top of the esplanade wall. The short displays were very intense and animated and I think would become more protracted as the month advanced.
The pair shown here had suddenly flown up from the sea and were vocalising to each other, beaks pointing slightly downwards. Moments later the male started a high-stepping walk around the female, his beak angled more acutely downwards. She immediately crouched submissively, but copulation didn't take place. It was early days for them and the behaviour more about strengthening their pair bond than procreation.
What a striking pair they made!
