“This time, Mr. Bond, the pleasure will be all mine!”

— Xenia Onatopp, Goldeneye

Another weekend and yet another trip to the east coast yesterday morning for what turned out to be a better sunrise than expected as I returned to the well known Zig Zag breakwater at St Monan's.

This is the second shot from my trip to St Monan's a couple of weeks ago to shoot the Zig Zag breakwater.

off to the quilter :)

Recently visited Yosemite National Park in the Winter time. This has been something that I've always wanted to see for myself and I am glad I got to visit the park shrouded in snow. To me the park is visually stunning and stands out so much more than during the Summer time. I feel like the pictures don't represent the post snow storm valley well enough.

I really enjoy the patterns in this image. I tried to make the foreground mirror the mountain ridge-line. Using the foreground snow is a great practice to match foregrounds and backgrounds and I love the effect this scene gives off.

This photo is one of my first images with my new Sony a7R II and 16-35 f4 lens.

Week No. 28: geometry

Category: Composition / Technique

Back to the coast this week and a zig-zag groin on the beach.

It was pretty precarious trying to get this shot, with my tripod balanced high on the groin's structure to get the view point needed to show the geometry.

A behind the scenes shot is on my Instagram.

Go to My 52 week Instagram to see a couple of other shots.

I post most frequently to my main Instagram so there are more photos there.

Am I saying, “Enjoy this moment. Be happy” ?

No. Allow the “suchness” of this moment. That's enough.

Suis-je en train de dire : "Appréciez cet instant. Soyez heureux." ?

Non. Laissez simplement cet instant être comme il est. Cela suffit.

Reds and aquas and white. :) This quilt is about 67 X 77 inches. I love it! This is a hard pattern to keep up with. You need to lay it out on the diagonal and if you don't have a place to leave it laid out- it stinks. I ended up pinning all the individual squares together in rows and placed each row on top of each other on my table. There were some 230+ squares I think.

I made this quite a few months ago and just never got around to posting it -- it's a zig-zag pillow based on Malka Dubrawsky's pattern in her book, Fresh Quilting. I'm just linking it up to Craft Buds' Craft Book Month linky party!

Funnily enough, I'm working on a quilt right now with the exact same colours and many similar prints. Maybe I should gift them together...

My first real attemp at some minimilist long exposure architectural photography, and a good excuse to explore some of the new building developments in Leeds city centre.
