Born in Eagle Lake and known as the last of the Black Hat Rangers, Zeno Smith (1902-1972) worked as a cowboy and rancher, and in his family's meat market. In 1935, he became a Texas Ranger, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and older brother. In a 34-year career he was credited with solving some of the biggest crime cases in South Texas. In 1958, he testified before a U.S. Senate Committee on Labor Crimes. Upon his retirement, a Texas House Resolution highlighted the "Notable Record and Outstanding Service" of this "Dedicated, Loyal, and Capable Officer." Smith served much of his Ranger career in San Antonio. He was known as fair but always direct while serving the Citizens of Texas. He is buried next to his wife, Leona, in Nixon Cemetery in Gonzales County. (2018) (Marker No. 20084)

Allison and I went up and experienced zero gravity in Las Vegas. Amazing, can't even put words to it. Everyone was giggling. I'll put up the high res photos as soon as they come in.

Me: Zero, Halloween was Monday!

Zero: Awwwww! Dang. Well, did I scare you?

Me: *laughs* I guess...You're not really the "scary" kind!

Zero: Poop. Oh well.

right beside ground zero; the big black building in the left side was once a great bank and the little building in the right side is an old old building.. they are both closed and no one knows what's going to happen to them. should they tear them down?! or should they repear them?!

We had a pet bird called "Zero", and we always joke together. He used to like flying away with my glasses (holds them from the string I use to hand on my neck), but drops them as they're to heavy.

One day, I decided to cover my face with my hands, and make crying sounds.. We miss him
