This Zero is authentic except for being powered by a P&W R-1830 replacing the original Nakajima Sakae engine (itself a near-identical copy of the P&W engine). It was part of the weekend airshow at Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison, TX in late September, 2014.

Deluges of rain wash all the colour from our green ocean and forests. In this shot, taken looking across Nanoose Bay, what looks like blur is basically heavy rain falling. Erin and I headed out hoping to fill our cameras today, but ended up on a rainy day scouting adventure. Luckily, we found about ten awesome places to revisit when there is more colour and less rain in the day!

On Thursday, Sept. 19, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey released the agency’s Net-Zero Roadmap, a comprehensive plan comprised of more than 40 actions intended to achieve both its near-term emission reduction goals and its 2050 goal of net-zero carbon emissions.
The announcement took place at Newark Liberty International Airport’s historic Building One, which the Port Authority announced today will be retrofitted as the first fossil fuel fuel-free building in the agency and intended to be the prototype for the rollout across the agency’s building stock.
Preethy Thangaraj, a policy advisor for energy & environment from the NJ Office of the Governor, spoke at the event.
