The Siam Tulip or Summer Tulip (Curcuma alismatifolia) " Kra Cheaw " in Thai language is a tropical plant native to northern Thailand and Cambodia. Despite its name, it is not related to the tulip, but to the various ginger species such as turmeric. It can grow as an indoor plant, and is also sold as cut flowers.
One of the most famous wild fields of Siam Tulips is in the Pa Hin Ngam National Park in the Chaiyaphum province of Thailand.
Il Siam Tulip (Curcuma alismatifolia) " Kra Cheaw " in lingua Thai è una pianta tropicale nativa del nord della Thailandia e della Cambogia. Nonostante il suo nome, non è un tulipano, ma appartiene a specie diverse come lo zenzero. Si può coltivare come pianta da appartamento, ed i fiori sono anche venduti come fiori recisi.
Uno dei più famosi campi selvatici del Siam Tulips si trova in Pa Hin Ngam Parco Nazionale nella provincia di Chaiyaphum Tailandia.

I disturbed an enormous rat in the shed a couple of weeks ago. At first I thought it was a snake, then I realised I was looking at his tail. The rat left through a gap in the woodwork and I went to the hardware store to buy a rat trap.
I armed it first with some bread soaked in olive oil and anchovy paste. The rat ate that. Then a piece of meat. Rat had that too. Then some nice strong cheese. Yum yum that disappeared without even setting off the trap. Last try - more bread.
And behold! Poor little mouse! I feel so guilty now.
But I suspect that the rat was using this poor mouse as a decoy because this time too, the bait was completely gone.
Ingredienti
Arance bio con le bucce (Navel), tagliate a pezzi e lessate in un po' acqua per 40 min
diosperi (cachi) se ci sono da aggiungere dopo lessate le arance
zucchero, cannella, zenzero, vanillina, noce moscata, rhum

Nella foresta pluviale ci sono molte varieta' d piante di zenzero, tutte dai fiori molto belli!
Lo zenzero e' utilizzato dagli aborigeni malesi per le sue proprieta' digestive, riconosciute anche dalla medicina cinese.
