Whenever I walk or drive by a Starbucks, I have to go in. It's an automatic response! I've ALMOST completed my goal of trying every holiday drink on the Starbucks menu; I only have the apple spice latte and the eggnog latte left to go. A little bit skeptical on the eggnog... but I have to try all of them!
If I had any idea the silliness I was embarking on... after this fateful snapshot I spent 45 minutes stuck driving on a shitty snow covered Vegas highway, just for them to close the road and ice the cake with a significantly shittier 1.5 hour drive back home... Ugh! California I'm coming, I promise!
I have loads of tips and thoughts, here are some:
1) I can dye her navy or black if the stains continue to bother me, for now, I'll keep her the way she is
2) I'll dunk her next time, the brush was a bit messy
3) Wait for second and even third coats, don't get too excited
4) Linen cloth is what was recommended for buffing
5) Have something you can hang the bag on
6) Stuff the bag while dying, I ignored this suggestion...
Try your own, it DOES NOT stiffen the leather. But I will say, when you decide to dye, especially a lighter colored bag, do not look for perfection. In my case, this was a vintage (10 years old) plus damaged bag and I knew that I'd still have some areas that were not perfect and I am ok with that. I hope you have enjoyed!
So, this is how they race triathlons in Florida. No wonder the bike times are so fast. ;)
And before anyone objects by suggesting that the flat and narrow course invites this behaviour, I will point out that there were huge rider-less gaps between the packs. This means there's more than enough course-space (technical term) for everyone to ride and obey the rules....especially with a time trial start.
