Kete took a wee flight down from the railing to stand on the deck with Frank and I. We were rather astonished at this as we were only a few metres away.
I just love her feather trousers which we donāt usually see when theyāre sitting in a tree.
Yup thats right. vising Niagara falls gives you an opportunity to see rainbow after rainbow if the sun and sky is coopertaing a il bit. due to tons of mist it is not an easy task to capture these rainbows though. hope all of your my dear friends are doing good. stay tuned to my Niagara channel , still lot more photos on the way.

A looong day at work, so I got a slightly later train tonight and was treated to this spectacular view! This was taken from the train with my P&S as we whizzed past Ardmore Point. A lovely, crisp (DRY!!) start to October - fabulous!
I think by the look of the open Chain locker and missing anchor that this was anchored somewhere probably for a long time and finally the gear tore away.
She's wedged now and not taking any more damage, a veritable bargain.

Okay, so I tried. I really tried to get a different shot today, but again, the chickadee won out.
Spring cannot come soon enough, my photostream needs some variety, not just a chickadee takeover!
But, what can I say, the chickadees seem so willing to pose for me, while the other birds hide out and taunt me with their songs. Sigh.

I was reviewing my New Year's Sunrise photos. Sunrise is tricky, here, because of the deep shadows cast by the mesas as illustrated, below, in a photo from the same excursion. This is the time of day when I am usually out on my daily walk and I accept it as a challenge to capture the best images despite difficult shooting conditions.
Obviously, post processing is important in the finished product. This image started out as somewhat overexposed to preserve the details in the rocks. This area is fascinating to me because of the layers, colors, textures and forms,
