Just going to dump in the rest from that night, so I can get excited about taking new photos. Lake Elliðavatn, Heiðmörk.
A calm evening by lake Elliðavatn in Kópavogur, SW Iceland. The column of light on the left is The Imagine Peace Tower, an outdoor work of art conceived by Yoko Ono in memory of John Lennon. It's actually situated on the island of Viðey, just south of the center of Reykjavík. The light column is visible from quite far away on a clear night. Mount Esja can be seen in the far distance. The almost full moon provided lighting for the foreground.

Located near Central Park West between 71st and 74th Streets, Strawberry Fields is a 2.5 acre area of Central Park that pays tribute to the late Beatle, John Lennon, singer, songwriter, musician and peace activist.
John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono lived in the Dakota Apartments adjacently located to this area of the park. It was here, walking into his home, on December 8, 1980, that John Lennon was murdered and shot dead.

This in-camera photograph of my partner, Andy, was taken at the Yoko Ono exhibition at Tate Modern, London, in July 2024.
The exhibit, 'Add Colour (Refugee Boat)' was an interactive installation by Yoko Ono. The installation featured a white boat in a white room. Visitors were invited to write comments or slogans of the current state of the world and the ongoing refugee crisis in blue marker pens onto the boat and walls.
I understand that artist's inspiration to create this installation stemmed from seeing news reports of refugees in boats trying to find a new life for themselves in different countries.
My photo is currently on display at the Original Gallery in Hornsey Library as part of the Crouch End, London Independent Photography's, Satellite group annual exhibition. See @crouchendlip on Instagram for details.
This is Yoko Ono's Imagine Peace Tower located in Reykjavik. Shot just before midnight (when they turn it off),
I was alone, didn't have a flashlight and didn't have the courage to place the camera where I was planning. I may go back someday if we have a clear sky and shoot closer. ;-)
Used my beloved 18mm f/3.5 Zuiko. ISO100 and 44 seconds.
People think that their world will get smaller as they get older. My experience is just the opposite. Your senses become more acute. You start to blossom.
— Yoko Ono … I have my nostalgic moments, but they are more about people I love and how I wish to see them again younger. For me, I would never ever trade for more youthful years. I love being me today after all the experiences I’ve had, even heartbreaks.
