They had been contacted....they had a feeling they knew by whom. A year needed to disappear....the job was almost done. It put up a good fight, but 2017 was finished. Time for new blood. Go ahead....have a stab at it.

I joined flickr a year ago today with a photo of this letter box outside King's College, Cambridge. That first photo (see below) was Explored and was the commencement of quite a journey:-) I've had 176 photos Explored (whatever that's supposed to mean), almost 65,000 views (389,984 views aggregate), and, most of all, I've had immense fun here.
The greatest thing is to ENJOY photography. And I do try to be creative, informative and also add humour:-) I take this opportunity to thank everyone for their views, comments, faves, invites and testimonials.
This is a rare Victorian hexagonal letter box dating from 1866. That's Great St Mary's Church in the background.
Scientific studies have discovered that prairie dogs have a pretty sophisticated communication system. They have different vocalizations for various types of threats and even for colors. For instance they can tell each other what color shirt a human trespasser is wearing.
So I don't think it's a stretch to believe this Black-tailed Prairie Dog is yipping "Happy New Year". I'll join him in wishing all my Flickr friends the same. Good riddance to 2020 and may 2021 be a much, much better year for all of us.

This was another one of Lally's great ideas brought to life. She truly has the patience of a saint...Through all our giggles and laughter, she pulls us all together... and as you can see there is a LOT of us and we were missing a few people of the Grove Art Club but we know and they know that they were in our hearts.
