Something wrong with my IR filter and forgot to remove the long exposure noise reduction. The moment I processed it, i know something has gone wrong. But as i keep staring at it, i start asking myself if is there really something wrong with the filter and the shot or it created something else...
I am a huge astronomy buff but living ina city, light pollution prevents me from getting to see the stars very often. So as we were travelling cross country at night, I had to pull over and just take in the beauty of the sky.
However,.... it was very disconcerting to look up at the sky and not see a single constellation that I recognized. the stars are WRONG.
i have to say tmax is pretty disappointing. i have never used it before but this is one of the few usable shots on the role. it lacks a lot of definition and the purpleish tinge creates a muddy finish that i don't like.
i used an fd 2x-b teleconverter with the 50mm f/1.2 for a portrait length lens
