Whoa! Just got this digital TV receiver with Finnish language pack pre-installed. All the words are indeed Finnish, but there's still something fishy with the text... ;-)
I know I live in Europe. I know that people here are much more comfortable in their skin then Americans tend to be. I know that really, it's a good thing.
I also know that there has to be a limit. And I think I have found (and photographed) it. Bikinis and Speedos are not a "right" but something you should really have to pass a physical test to earn.
I couldn't help but point them out to S though, and tell him that if we live in Europe too long that this couple could well be us later in life.
Is it driving the right way ot not??

I had the chance to talk to this cyclist. She claimed she had nearly been knocked off her bike when using the proper route. When I tried to explain the danger she posed to cyclists coming their proper way, she claimed she was 'very careful'. When I suggested she would force cyclists to brake and possibly collide with her or the kerb, or be struck from behind by vehicles/other cyclists, she was dismissive. A danger to be repeated, I suspect.
That mask is not to disguise her -- she readily removed it to talk, but I won't publish that shot unless you need to sue her for past or future damage.
What a bicycle would look like if the hilariously wrong Amazon listing for www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HPKVVBK/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss... was accurate instead of an Amazonification.
Their train was late.
Usually I'm the only one so interested in Amtrak passing. Maybe they thought it was going to be their train, and they were all on the wrong side.
This sign is for people who have just crossed the Astoria Bridge and entered Washington from Oregon. We were going the other way.
Two Chiriqui Robber Frogs (Pristimantis cf. cruentus). The male must have misunderstood something during sex ed.
"I'm a patriot, but I can't be bothered to check if I hung up the flag correctly."
August is the time of the year, when Singaporeans are encouraged to hang out their National flags as a show of patriotism.
This boat seems to be lost!
Yes, M/V Tan Behong5 a Vietnam registry cargo vessel got drifted towards the R.T.Lim Boulevard sea wall, this is the result of the big waves from the typhoon Ondoy that swept the country, bringing great damage to the country's capital cities in collateral and economic damages. ( Check the internet for more details.)
By the way, this incidence has made the boat an instant attraction! Paisanos from different parts of the city have dropped by, shoot some pixs and made the boat as their backdrop! And me included....
With main 1 out of service, MPRSS heads north on number 2. Heavy rain and a nice grade has these units running hard and sand is flowing flawlessly.

The original hole was too small for the Rockler feet so I had to bore it out. It was a simple enough job and well worth it to have the ability to stabilize the saw.
stopped noticing this kind of thing pretty quickly since there was so much of it going on. cars also utilize this method. driver licenses can be purchased for 3000 RMB.
"You're looking high, you're looking low
You got something on your mind
Did someone give you bad directions?
Where you in the wrong place at the wrong time?
They found a body in the river
They found a note left in the sand
"Leave my worries to the water
And leave my body to the land"

I may be wrong, but I think this was a Mobat Anti-Tank gun. Towed barrel first, hence the coupling ring on the muzzle. More old Brownie 127 images. A visit to The London Scottish open day on Clapham Common, early 1960s.
Imagine that you are designing advertisement posters (for a jazz school in this case) that will be posted everywhere in a big city (Munich in this case). One of bits of information on these posters is that courses at that school start in September 2007. And of course you also put your name on the posters for some publicity.
One year later, they want to advertise again, so they take your design again and send it to the print shop. (Or maybe they ask you, and you send it to the print shop.)
A few days later, the posters are ready. Someone notices that they still say “September 2007”. No big deal, they just fire up Microsoft Word, type “2008” a few times, format it in 72pt bold type, print it out a few hundred times, cut the numbers apart and stick them onto the posters.
Well, and your name is still on those posters, along with the “sponsered” typo from last year. Damn.
(I don’t know if this is exactly what happened, but I can’t really imagine how it could be otherwise.)
