this is a special photo for me, because it is my first photo captured by my first DSLR camera "Canon 550D"
and it's new start for me in the world of photographing and my first step towards being professional in this wonderful field..
i took this photo for an artist writting my name in beautiful arabic hand-writting. and that was in "Asia Gathers Us" event which held in Kuwait university - Shuwaikh area.
i hope it is a good start ... ^^

España - Ciudad Real - Argamasilla de Alba - Plaza de España - Don Quijote de La Mancha

ENGLISH:
This village was the temporary residence of Miguel de Cervantes, at least between 1601 and 1603, and also of his character D. Quixote: the place in La Mancha that he did not want to remember. At the end of chapter LII of the first part of Don Quixote, Cervantes writes some comic poems dedicated to the "Academics of Argamasilla".
Tradition says that, having gone to this place Miguel de Cervantes, in his role as tax collector, did not fall very well with the people and could have also had an affair with the niece of the mayor, D. Rodrigo de Pacheco. These events are mentioned as the reason why he was imprisoned. He was imprisoned in a cave, called Medrano, this being the place traditionally indicated where Cervantes began to write Don Quixote. The cave is, like a basement, inside the house of the same name. This could be the reason why Don Quixote did not want to remember the place in La Mancha. It is also said that the figure of Alonso Quijano (Don Quixote's name) was based on this peculiar character of the time: Rodrigo de Pacheco.

Este pueblo fue residencia temporal de Miguel de Cervantes, como mínimo entre 1601 y 1603, y también de su personaje Don Quijote: el lugar de La Mancha del que no quería acordarse. Al final del capítulo LII de la primera parte de El Quijote, Cervantes escribe unos poemas cómicos dedicados a los "Académicos de Argamasilla".
Dice la tradición que, habiendo ido a este lugar Miguel de Cervantes, en su función de recaudador de impuestos, no cayó muy simpático a las gentes y pudiera haber tenido además un lío de faldas con la sobrina del alcalde D. Rodrigo de Pacheco. Se señalan estos hechos, como motivo por los que fue encarcelado. Fue puesto preso en una cueva, denominada de Medrano, siendo este el lugar tradicionalmente señalado donde Cervantes empezó a escribir El Quijote. La cueva está, a modo de sótano, en el interior de la casa del mismo nombre. Pudiera ser este el motivo por el que Don Quijote no quisiera acordarse del lugar de la Mancha. Se afirma, así mismo, que la figura de Alonso Quijano (nombre de Don Quijote), se basó en este peculiar personaje de la época: Rodrigo de Pacheco.

When I think "celebration," I think of the vibrance and energy of something like fireworks—not really practical to capture from two or three inches away. But these sparkly-things-on-wires that we adorn the Christmas tree with each year pack a little of that firework energy, especially when the late day sun catches them through the window, sending a spray of reflections onto our walls and ceiling, as if someone has just sneezed Christmas spirit all over everything.

El lago de Amatitlán es un lago de cráter situado en Guatemala. Se encuentra a 25 km de la Ciudad de Guatemala, a una altitud de 1186 msnm. Tiene 12 km de largo, 3 km de ancho, y una supeficie de 15.2 km².3 Su profundidad máxima es de 33 m y su profundidad media es 18 m. El volumen del cuerpo de agua es aproximadamente 0.286 km³.2
El lago de Amatitlán tiene su origen en la Era Cuaternaria y su formación se debe a los movimientos tectovolcánicos ocurridos en el área y provocados por los volcanes de Pacaya, Agua, Fuego y Acatenango. Durante esa época, su extensión era de aproximadamente 80km2 , ocupando la superficie de los municipios de Amatitlán, Villa Nueva y Villa Canales ya que se han encontrado fósiles de caracoles y pequeños esqueletos de peces durante excavaciones realizadas en esos lugares a principios de siglo. Durante la época precolombina, el lago fue la fuente principal de abastecimiento de agua y de alimento para las tribus Pocomam asentadas a su alrededor.
En sus orillas se encuentran plantas como Jussiaea peruviana, o hierba de clavo, Typha scrirpas o tul. Otras plantas flotan, como Eichhornia crassipes conocida como lechugilla o ninfa. Entre las algas está Mycrosystis aeroginosa (nata verde flotante) que produce un olor similar al gamexane, provoca irritación en la piel y al ser ingerida produce vómitos pudiendo ocasionar la muerte.
El río Villalobos es el mayor afluente del lago, cuyas aguas son drenadas por el río Michatoya, un afluente del río María Linda. Los ríos de la cuenca del lago de Amatitlán suman 289 km lineales. Siendo otros cauces: Platanitos, Pinula, Las Minas, Tulujá, El Bosque, Molino, San Lucas y Parrameño. Un dique construido en el punto más estrecho del lago, conocido como El Relleno y por donde antiguamente pasaba el ferrocarril, lo divide en una parte nor-occidental y una parte sur-oriental. El agua del lago ha sido utilizada para uso doméstico, generación de electricidad, pesca y para fines recreativos y turísticos. Este recurso hídrico también sirve para realizar deportes acuáticos. Ha sido varias veces sede de Juegos Deportivos Centroamericanos y de Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe además de muchas competencias internacionales.

in december i started writting alot, it started as a letter to my friend jeevan in spain and turned into my illustrated journal of sorts, its fun and i like mixing in drawings. Inever sent her this, maybe this week if i get a chance
