In a recent Hollywood sale, an original sheet of decals for the filming Enterprise model was auctioned. This is an image of the decal sheet sold in that auction. It shows the backwards and forwards treatment, and the famouns NCC-1701, originally conceived by Matt Jefferies to be a combination of a military and private registration number, reflecting the paramilitary nature of the five year mission (D.C. Fontana has described this in some detail, Matt was involved in avisation in both military bombing missions and later in civilian life and was particularly interested in the possibility of the registration number reflecting this hybrid role of a military like private association, the federation).
These decals were said to be used from time to time when a new one was required due to model handling, or to photograph the backwards lettering to show the port side of the Enterprise in particular.
This only looks good if you press L.
You should always keep faith no matter what you're going through. Whether it's faith in a God, faith in a person or, most importantly, faith in yourself. When everything goes dark, hope and faith can be the only light and sometimes that's all you need to find the end of the tunnel.
I was inspired today. This isn't great, but you still inspired me even when you're in one of your darkest hours.
And I'm not the only one.
"I like writing letters and receiving letters. It's a shame that we've lost the art of letter-writing and saving correspondence. I mourn that"
High end magazines are perhaps the last vestiges for typography. This photograph was taken from a page of the launch issue of the Intelligent Life - the monthly magazine owned by the economist whose production values; especially when launched were of the highest quality.
Some things were more fun before computers. Kindergartners checking out library books was one of those things.
Walking a trail, I almost walked into this spider and its web. Note the spider has an insect wrapped up ready to consume.
“Photography, as we all know, is not real at all. It is an illusion of reality with which we create our own private world.”

Fescu is mostly a simple embellishment, a kind of garnish for other tangles; but it is quite pretty in itself, too...

This photo was taken while I was attending the 'Cruisin' Brea Classic Car Show' of 2015. I really do like those lines, angles and bold colors. I hope you do too. :o)
