The writer finds solace and inspiration on a foggy autumn morning. The fog paints a veil of mystery over the morning inviting the writer's imagination to wander where it will. This writer however, is not finding solace in the heavy rain and wind that is crashing through our area at the moment. It's time to batten down the hatches in the Foothills.

I just went through some photos and came across this image of Morrissey I attempted to draw. Wasn't successful in the end but I do kind of like the pencil stage. I will attempt another drawing of Mr. Steven Patrick Morrissey.

“To send a letter is a good way to move somewhere without moving anything but your heart.” -- Phyllis Theroux
I began by sending the first letter of 2016 to my adult son.

We sang together. Music cheers her up. And she still knows how to (slowly) hit those notes on the piano.
Mamma.
A series of portraits of my mother, who has problems with her memory. And her mobility. She is 83 and still lives at home, with help. New work in progress.
