The third update for my Lego show exhibit! The show's just over two weeks away now, and I haven't posted an update for over a week I think, so here you go.
As you can see, I've completed the bulk of the landscape, I just need to finish the grass area at the back and the add the cliff for the base of the castle. After that I'll build the castle, the tower, and complete the three cottages. And then of course I'll add the leftover foliage and other details :)
As always, C&C is most appreciated :)
The Neoframe has some fun posing options at this point. We'll see how I end up building the armor and head and all that...most of the hard parts are done.

We should be taught not to wait for inspiration to start a thing. Action always generates inspiration. Inspiration seldom generates action.

The strips are computer printed tissue bonded on to fabric which is then rolled and machine stitched. The circles are calico which has been painted with a metal effect paint.
This is too heavy for the scale but could be developed further
on a collaged newspaper background.

I especially like the unfocussed area at the front.
Suddenly i was not allowed to be creative anymore.....but isnt it impressive to IM and draw at the same time?? LOL Monti Kristo was feeling the vibe and he liked it too!! :-)

Ok, here I go planning another monstosity for Brickvention in January, which my girlfriend gets to keep after-would, she has to help build it though, that's the deal :) I love the TLG colour scheme for their Rivendell set so I'll be stealing/paying homage to that. I plan to have two large cliffs on either side to give a small sense of scale of the ravine. At the moment I'm just playing with some building shapes while I wait for more parts. Dave Kaleta's version, which I'm happy to say I got to see and fondle in real life at BrickCon '11, is a big inspiration for this.
