Paying tribute to the sun--maybe it will let off a bit. Hot hot hot--today's temp 98 degrees with a heat index--or 'feels like' temp of 105 with no relief in sight! I've got air in the house but not the workshop~~good thing I've got an addiction to making things or I'd quit until fall.
Maybe cutting board would be more appropriate.....kitty cat enjoying the full moon. I thought maybe an owl would have been a good subject as well--but once I drew the curled tail in here the cat had to stay.
Better then half way foiled up. The copper foil that I'm using here to wrap the pieces comes in various widths and color backings--its self adhesive and comes coiled in a roll like tape. I'm using two different widths on this project depending on the different thickness of the glass~~with the wavy textured Waterglass I'm using for the leaves the glass is thin in places and fatter in others--too thick of a foiled area results in very heavy solder lines and globbed up areas that I'm looking to avoid.
I have a show coming up in January. I haven't been working on it as much as I'd like, but its starting to pull together.
I haven't been posting anything from it so far either, but I'll probably start leaking images I'm at least working on.
I think this venue will be a little bit more difficult than my last, but its beautiful brick walls and the fact that it's probably one of my favourite places in all of Edmonton makes up for it.
