La chiesa, pesantemente danneggiata dal terremoto, è stata messa in sicurezza dall'equipe dei vigili del fuoco che, per mesi, hanno curato la rimozione delle macerie, il tamponamento delle arcate e l'intera copertura delle tre navate con una struttura che preserverà l'edificio sacro da ulteriori danni, in attesa del previsto restauro.

I'm finishing off some more brooch orders this week.

Charlotte needed a new outfit so I dug into my stash of my favorite fabrics and ribbons and made her a new skirt. She originally had on a skirt and shawl, so I will knit her a little red shawl to go with her fancy new dress.

I coudn't find a rick-rack wide enough for the big pillow cover I'm making. I decided to make some crochet shells instead.

I snapped this work in progress with my cell phone thismorning. I like the light that was coming thru the window. It's almost an impressionist feeling. It's inspiring. Makes me want to take it in a whole new direction.

It's very exciting to present a preview of AwanZaman, a modern dual-script sans serif family with a Latin and an Arabic designed by Juliet Shen and Mamoun Sakkal, and TypeTogether's first excursion into Arabic type design.

You can see where I attempted to do a stem stitch on the leaf. I don't think I am doing it correctly, but I don't really know if I care. I think it looks ok. ;)
