Not really attempting to capture the actual colors of this one, but going for something a bit more period. This, for those of you who are particularly nerdy, is where Amy Pond was running when Canton Everett III chased her in Dr Who...
Only two colors added so far over the white. Mineral Orange over the table, and in areas on the fruit. In the black spaces, the deepest shadows, I've softened up the dark paper with Black Grape. I'm going to warm up the shadows a little so they aren't quite so stark as bare paper.
I will post 365's later. It's been a busy July birthday week!
This I started a few days ago, and it is still being worked on. I have since added another "dancer" to the right of this one in center, and have added a little more texture to the left side of the canvas.
The new portrait commission I'm working on now. Paper size is 11 inches by 14 inches. This is at 1 hour and 50 minutes. Basically all I've done is lay it all out with an HB pencil.
I applied the first coat of color to the areas where the mountains and forest will be. As you can see it will definitely take several coats to get where we want.
I didn't really take proper before and after photos. I should have done it while there were still holes and plugs all over the wall. Anyway, it's a sort of work in progress so I can remind myself how much hard work it was. My painting/ scraping, ironing/ texting arm really aches but I can just about type!!
Color palettes I designed, circa 1996.

Doing a bit every day, this center plot is enormous. The dog lawn is just starting to come up in the front section. I had to stop, it poured last night, and there are too many spiders and other creepy crawlies in there today... After the center section is weeded, I'll do the perimeter, trying to figure out what is a plant I want to keep and what is a weed tree.

Road Trip Day Five: Meteor Crater. Somehow we had it in our heads that it would be larger. Still pretty big though.
Gotta love how sheer this fabric is and how when you hold a project up you can see all the junk on the backside. :P
