It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I'll find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I work all day to get you money to buy you things
And it's worth it just to hear you say you're going to give me everything
So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
You know I feel ok
When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah
It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I'll find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright, oww
So why on earth should I moan, 'cause when I get you alone
You know I feel ok
🎼: Pieces of a Dream ~ Warm Weather~
✈️ : North Brother Island
Song idea thanks to Jack. xo
There is nothing, like a warm summer's day
The sun is shining, and the soft wind serenades
We can walk in the park, make love after dark
Love in the night time, I like the warm weather
Feels so mellow, it's like a natural, natural high
I've got to get outdoors
It's too nice, too nice to be inside
We can ride to the beach
Boy just you and me
Said we're just gonna take it easy
I like the warm weather
I like the warm weather
I like warm weather
Just you and me together
Can't think of nothing better
Just you and me together
I like the warm weather
You know what I like
And I'm thinkin' about you all the time
I like the warm weather
Can't think of nothing better, hey-ey
Just you and me together
In my mind

Yesterday afternoon I took my bike and camera and went into the woods near my house in hope to find some mushrooms. Well there was not much to be found. I took a string of tiny lights with me because I saw a video of Daan de Vos were he used them to create a bokeheffect. I was struggeling with my sx because the effect is totally different from a DSRL. Back home I was not satisfied at all so I used the blur effect in filterstorm again and this is the outcome. I can live with this and hope you like it to allthough its not straight out of the camera :-)
Don't see Mother raccoon out during the day often; only when she needs food so she can return to the babies and be able to feed them. When the young ones were old enough to venture out, I saw she had been caring for 4 babies. No wonder she looked so ragged!

I always look forward to a steam charter heading west along the South Wales Main Line and seeing how many people head out to take photographs or just take in the sight and sound of a steam loco hard at work on the mainline.
Here's my offering from this morning's Pembroke Dock-bound The Great Britain XVII tour, with Black 5 45212 putting down the power as the train approaches Pontsarn Crossing.
In the distance you can see GWR's 1L46 0923 Swansea-London Paddington - for a minute or so, I wondered if I would only get a photo of the IETs - with the charter obscured behind it, but things worked out a bit better in the end!
Looking down on two waiters taking a break and using their mobile phones. Taken in Shimla, the Capital Town of Himachal Pradesh, India.
Walking around and lunch to take pictures also means that I invariably end up interrupting other people's lunches. Luckily, Andrew (front) did not seem to mind, As I was about to shoot, John (in the cab) looked up, so I merely requested that, if he could look at me, that would be great.
Neither of them seemed to have a problem with my "No Smile" request.
I had the good fortune of photographing Nate before, but there was always something about the shot that left me "wanting". I felt like I really didn't do my best. I was lucky enough to pass him on the street again today.
I have a pretty good memory, so when I passed by with a holler of "How ya doing', Nate?", he looked, recognized me, and responded with "Still walking' around takin' pictures, huh?" Conversation started, which led to my Mea Culpa and a request for another try. I think I did better this time.
I met Darwin earlier this week when I was giving Mike copies of pictures from the "old neighborhood". I photographed a lot of people in the neighborhood when we first moved in here 7 years ago, and it turned out that Mike was friends with many of them.
When he saw the pictures, he immediately exclaimed "Too Tall!" , the subject of three of the pictures. They were very good friends, and Darwin had not seen his face since he died 4 years ago.
I was going to check up on Levita today (update - she is still a "guest of the State"), but Darwin was there watching her things. He asked me if I could get him copies of the pictures that I gave to Mike. I said I would, and then I asked if he wanted copies of the picture of himself. When he said he did, I replied "Well, I've never taken your picture, so it looks like I'm taking it today." As I was taking the picture, I told him he looked pretty bad ass, a little like Mike Tyson. He said "Tyson" and struck this pose.
I don't think I could have asked for more.
"Love is like a friendship caught on fire:
In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering.
As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable."
It's always amusing when the birds almost lay down when trying to reach the bottom half of the seed logs.
This female Downy Woodpecker was really enjoying this particular spot she'd found, working hard to get at whatever it was that got her attention!
The San Cristobal City Hall is receiving a major restoration using mucho manual labor.
City hall faces one side of the Central Plaza (Zocalo).
Seat of the local City Hall since 1893, the Palacio Municipal of San Cristobal de las Casas is a neoclassical style building that is the work of architect Carlos Z. Flores who remodeled this two story building inspired by the Maestro Vignola.
Its front facade consists of Tuscany style columns that frame rectangular windows in a neoclassical expression. At the rear of the palace lies a large civic plaza, framed with semicircular arches and heavy columns.
The building that appears today, replaced the former palace that was destroyed in a fire in 1863 during riots between imperialists and republicans.

Shizandra isn't super active any longer. She is 13 and has slowed down quite a bit. Running around takes a lot of her energy and it's been very humid here so she gets tired fast.
Day 78 of 365 days
Today I helped out and went to my grandparents house where my aunts/uncles were having a yard sale to sell their stuff (2 years later). It was bittersweet, I put some stuff in there but nothing sold... but I came home with a new jeff cap (all my jeff caps I own were one of my grandfathers- how cool?), the cutest summer dress, and a few books to read this summer :) ONE PERSONS TRASH IS ANOTHER PERSONS TREASURE.
