Rented a Canon 6d for the week and my co-worker helped me test it out at the office.

Picturehouse workers from Brixton, Hackney, Crouch End and Central staged a demo in Central London as part of what has now become the biggest cinema workers campaign in UK history. With music and a procession to relevant Central London sites, the day ended with a rousing speech from MP John Mcdonnell, the Shadow Chancellor.

Following months of strike action, the workers have been left with little choice but to call for a Boycott of the entire Picturehouse chain as well as parent company Cineworld.

Giants of the UK film industry have supported the call to Boycott and put their names to a letter to Cineworld CEO Mooky Greindinger, asking him to return to the negotiation table and pay the London Living Wage. Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Patrick Stewart, Richard Curtis, Lindsay Duncan, Sir Mark Rylance are just a few of the stars backing the campaign for the Living Wage at Picturehouse cinemas.

POWERHOUSE MUSEUM COMPETITION: Railway Workers

What inspired me is that volunteer railway workers are important too. They help with people, help the mums who have prams and they too help out with emergencies and problems. In this picture they are blocking traffic on the level crossing so that the steam locomotive will get through easily and stop traffic to stop nasty accidents.

- Thousands of office housekeeping workers and supporters marched for a new contract for SEUI Local 32BJ. Their numbers have been cut because of COVID’s effect on building occupancy, with as much as 50% vacancy rate in Philadelphia office buildings and other cities.

Building workers from 32BJ locals from New York, Pittsburgh, Washington and other cities on the East Coast were joined by participants in the UNI Global Union's World Congress taking place in Philadelphia.
