I was organiser of Working Press 1987 - 1997. WP was a member of the FED which itself has a history going back to the Seventies.

One of the things I shared with them is that politics begins in the home.
Politics is the art of compromise, and in family - the first social institution with which we are familiarized - no one gets their way all the time.
Sometimes, Mama gets her way; sometimes Daddy gets his way; and by mutual agreement, sometimes the children get their way(s). BUT! NO ONE gets their way all the time.
Thus, we learn to cooperate, collaborate, give and take. It's part and parcel of what makes human society civil... and not a brute animal.

- Thousands of office housekeeping workers and supporters marched for a new contract for SEUI Local 32BJ. Their numbers have been cut because of COVID’s effect on building occupancy, with as much as 50% vacancy rate in Philadelphia office buildings and other cities.
Building workers from 32BJ locals from New York, Pittsburgh, Washington and other cities on the East Coast were joined by participants in the UNI Global Union's World Congress taking place in Philadelphia.
