Rally outside the High Court, London on Monday 6 April. Unite convenor and deputy convenor, Kevin Nolan and Piers Hood, from Visteon Enfield plant, where sacked Visteon workers were occupying, were threatened with jail. Unite South East region organised the banner and many of the supporters, but the lady at the front was a Visteon Enfield worker.

Mendocino has a small community library staffed and run entirely by volunteers. Outstanding books and people. Here are the 2 people working today. I wish I had asked their names.....

Because its May 1st, Workers Day, everywhere I went doing errands today I asked workers if I could take a photo. These 4 photos are my favorites from the group.

Volunteer workers like Brian Neilson (far right) and Doug Thompson (second from left) finish sandbagging on Main Street in Pine Island. Workers made enough sandbags that they stayed ahead of the flooding waters.

Family members of fallen WSDOT workers attended the agency's Worker Memorial ceremony in Lacey to listen to stories and honor their loved ones killed on the job -- many in marked work zones.

I have been quite around the streets in old Dubai market area. But yesterday was the first time I visited the market area in Deira. I was jus' surprised at sight of workers kickin' back on these mini cargo trolleys on every nook and corner of the busy streets sippin' tea n having a chit chat.

While I was there, I did try to kick back on one of these myself :D

Outside the capitol building in Madison, Monday, March 21.

A construction worker on the new Bow office tower, behind the old Northwest Traveller's Building. I liked the mix of steel girders, metal balcony, and old brick.

This is where people come into the city to wait for work. Every day you can see people lined up all day waiting.

Over 200 people protests in Birmingham today against the Tory budget. Protesters included public service users and workers alike. Protesters brought their children and the rally grew as a result of public interest.

Pensioners, students, refugees and community campaigns representing the most vulnerable people in society who will be affected by the cuts were at the forefront of the protest. Workers turned out from all over the public and private sector with large delegations. UCU who are striking to protect education provision at City College, UNISON local government workers who under the Birmingham Con-Dem council are facing massive redundancies and closures to librarys, childrens nurseries, elderly peoples homes and leisure centres, PCS facing massive cuts in civil services, NUT and Anti – Academies Alliance fighting back over the government’s proposals to privatise education.

Speakers from the Trades Council, UNISON, PCS, UCU, NUT, GMB, Right to Work, the Pensioners Association and the People’s Charter attacked the massive injustice in the budget – the rally represented a coalition of resistance around right to work, the peoples charter, Save Our Services and public services not for profit. We will now be preparing for the Tory party conference here in October and invite the rest of the UK to join us in disgust at what could be the biggest single attack on working class people since the great depression.

Elli was barking at the railway worker who was up on the train line. As you see, Hector never even noticed he was there.

The Governor was joined by Workers’ Compensation Task Force Chair Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn and other members of the Task Force including Representative Bryon Short, Representative Ruth Briggs King, Senate President Pro Tempore Patricia Blevins, and Senator Gerald Hocker, who were also bill sponsors to sign House Bill 175. Department of Labor Secretary John McMahon and others was also present for the signing of this bill that will improve Delaware’s workers’ compensation system. The legislation is based on the recommendations made by the Workers’ Compensation Task Force, which worked for four months to address the dramatic increase in Delaware’s workers compensation premiums over the past two years, after four consecutive years of decreases that totaled over 40%.
