Workers have completed a project to upgrade Fairground Street, and improvements include intersection improvements at Roswell Street and North and South Marietta parkways, a roundabout at the Allgood Road intersection, sidewalks, ornamental street lights, landscaped medians and other improvements along the corridor.

Eastern side Barr Lake before the water rose work was done on the board walks to raise them all up plus new material and even raised the bird lookout area and a gazebo.

Over 50,000 supporters turned up at the Workers' Party first rally in General Elections 2011. WP is the biggest political group against the incumbent, PAP. Only 500 people showed up at PAP's Rally.
Philadelphia workers from diverse labor, housing and socialist organization celebrated International Workers Day on May 1st, 2023.
Participants marched through West Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania campus in recognition of a number of organizing campaigns in the area.
