In 2010 i think Im gonna focus on a new set of work, continuing from my college work of paintings and digital prints, but making it exclusively paintings. I like trying my hand at digital, but its painting that really moves me.
So Im going to do less photography and more paintings in 2010. Im hoping to exhibit them, so I may, may not (?) post them all on here, but show you glimpses of them instead. College isnt going too well mentally, so I need to find a focus to work.
Im also nearly at the end of a 4 year project of painting 3 sets of Buddhist Statues for a local Buddhist Centre's very large shrine, which will be the main focus of the whole community. This has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
My B.A is looking less likely to be finished as Im no longer enjoying it.......

It's a lot of work to keep a boat like this. Poor guy - a slave of sorts.

I love old tractors. Have always dreamed of driving one... I also highly appreciate hard work. Physical work done to stay alive. Making firewood. Building a house to your family. To establish and take care of a vegetable garden. Renovate old houses and furniture. Snowclearing. To fish in the cold ocean. You know what I mean.
And still, I also miss intellectual conversations, poetry and philosophy, pondering over things with somebody, to question things... It is hard work too? It is so easy to stay in the sofa watching stupid tv-series. Read only easy books, read tabloid news about naked models, nipples, murder stories, disasters... It is so easy to become also mentally lazy, and even become hostile, populistic, prejudiced... Let's keep our mind open and honest! :)
Several photostream shots ago I mentioned about the announced reopening to Metrolink trams of St Peter's Square in Manchester, pondering over whether it could be true considering the work still to be done. Well, the event has occurred, even if at the moment it's only for two platforms (one in each direction) as work continues towards completion of the rest. Here cars 3080 and 3060 (the latter the rear of a double unit) meet at the newly reopened stop.
