The Night Cometh

Work! for the night is coming;

Work! through the morning hours;

Work! while the dew is sparkling;

Work! 'mid the springing flowers;

Work! while the day grows brighter,

Under the glowing sun;

Work! for the night is coming,--

Night, when bee's work is done.

One of my favorites from the photowalk, this is the main engineer on the train. He was quite a showman, and loved the crowd. Lots of fun.

Making a purse. The flowered fabric is going to be the lining. I am using this free pattern: www.made-by-rae.com/2009/02/free-buttercup-bag-sewing-pat...

The work here is done! In re-working my original plans, I decided to move that one large rock to allow two rows of patio block to be placed, allowing space for that hose caddy to stand. I can easily clean out the dryer vent as well as fill my jugs used in servicing my two bird baths. And yes, the blocks are sloped away from the house to allow for proper drainage when it rains or snows.

It took a good few goes before it turned over :/

Camera phone pics.

This is the inside of a 1940s furnace... this thing is so old it doesn't even have a blower. This huge ball of fire just heats up this massive block of cast iron, then the heat gently rises out of the ductwork - into the house. Can you image the gas bill on this thing!?!

Overrun with shite, it's a surprise I have room to do anything!
