Final work on the new canal bridge at Lapworth means a long walk from the vehicle park in Lapworth along tow paths past the bridge, over a bridge behind me and back along the opposite bank. One guy is doing just that as 66056 passes overhead with the 11.47 Didcot T.C. to Bescot Down sidings, the train consisted of 3 locomotives and was running 30 minutes early.

I'm happy I finished the major parts of my PhD! The work is big, really big, maybe too big (around 360 pages)? However I did a lot of work during the recent years so it is maybe justifiable. I skipped my journey to Etna in November missing this huge eruption and "preferred" working so it must become an excellent work! Well now it is over and parallel to learning for my final exam I continue with my hobbies photography/flickr! Enjoy my pictures and have fun,

Yesterday I returned to work and by a total coincidence my second delivery of the day took me down the access road by the UK Rail depot to Leicester. My new iPhone came in handy.
On view in front of what appears to be a new part built shed are a couple of heritage class 37's from the early 1960's together with a rather forlorn class 60.

So this is where I work. Built in 1913 as an assembly plant for Ford. Model T's were built here and it operated as an assembly line plant until 1932. It then became a Ford Parts warehouse until the 1950's. In the early 1960's, a guy who invented the hair curler opened up a factory in the building, and it became known as the Tip Top Building, as that was the brand of hair curler manufactured.......
