Was walking the roads around the Viera cells when suddenly I saw this red wolf and he saw me. Had time for a quick photo with him looking at me and two as he was running away.

The wolves are fenced in with a high fence. A lower fence about four feet outside of that is where visitors stand. A guide stands between the two fences to talk about the wolves. They have 'serious photographer' tours where you can get right up to the inner fence to take pictures. I hope to do that before the year is over. Most of my pics show the fence somewhat.

The nearly 20,000-member PNG is one of the largest in the nation, the 17,000-acre National Guard training center facilitates over 100,000 troops per year, and the DMVA serves Pennsylvania's nearly one million veterans with benefit and support programs including six veterans homes. Taken at the Toledo Zoo. It was pretty hot and this wolf wasn't enjoying it. It kept moving from shady spot to shady spot and lying down.
