Ausstellungseröffnung der NABU-Wanderausstellung in der ZOOM Erlebniswelt am Tag des Wolfes.
Die Ausstellung wird bis Ende Mai in der ZOOM Erlebniswelt Gelsenkirchen zu sehen sein. Sie informiert über Biologie und Verhalten freilebender Wölfe, stellt aktuelle Ergebnisse der Freilandforschung vor und bietet vor allem durch interaktive Elemente eine spielerische Annäherung an das Thema Wolf.
The most fun sighting was of this wolf puppy out on his own. After awhile he got lonesome for the rest of the pack and sat down and began to howl. While we didn't see the other wolves we could hear the answer.
The puppy heard the answer as well and ran off in the direction of the answer in a sprint.
It's one of a few times I've gotten to hear wolves howl and each time brings a great deal of excitement/wonder/gratification/or some other positive adjective.
It was always difficult to get a decent shot of this wolf because it was kept separate from the other two, and it was further away from the viewing area. Oregon Zoo, Portland, Oregon.

A real wolf in the wild. The first and only time I saw one in nature. I got the time to take 6 photos, this is the only one that I got OK.
Un vrai loup dans la nature, à Denali en Alaska. Je n'en ai pas recroisé depuis... j'ai eu le temps de prendre 6 photos et seulement 1 est sortie correctement.
