it was a cold rainy day in the City, so I practiced inside with smoke and one flash. I used incense to generate the smoke.
Strobist info: 430 EX pointed directly at the smoke from the right side at 90 degrees. Home made barn doors on the left and right side of the flash. 430 EX 1/2 power.
Wizard is the debut poetic show written by Manchester Literature Festival slam winner Dominic Berry (Freed Up Poets) mixing Hip Hop, comedy, poetry and theatre.
Born of 'Dungeons & Dragons', Japanese RPGs and Greek myth, Wizard's world gives him more reality than is offered by the army of GPs, therapists and Benefits Officers banging on his door. Wizard is happy - his home is alive with spells and the spectacular, a magic he chooses to share with a man who lives in the flat above his.
...but soon events will take place that change the lives of both Wizard and his neighbour forever.
Written and performed by Dominic Berry.
With Rod Tame (Write Out Loud) in the role of Wizard.
Original music and direction from Martin Stannage (Pen-ultimate).

☞ Part of a series of photos documenting my new home & neighborhood, in the heart of Vermont's largest town: Burlington 05401. • After almost a dozen years in rural Cornwall, 40 miles to the south, I have moved to one of the true outposts of optimism, on the eastern shore of Lake Champlain.
Goldman, Heath and I descended upon Wizard World in beautifull downtown Rosemont, Illinois! It damn near broke our hearts.
As part of the test-the-new-camera project, I got press credentials for a Wizards game tonight. We can all pretend I understood what was going on.
