Photo from the February 2009 production of The Wizard of Oz at the Montgomery High School, New Jersey, USA. (taken without flash with a small camera, so I apologize for the lack of focus)
Today a wizard showed up at the ass crack of dawn to take sunrise shots of him standing in the freezing lake. The shoot was supposed to be about a magical woman but my agent accidentally booked him instead. FML?
Meet the Wizard of the Metolius River, this is a shot of Wizard Falls on the Metolius river. I have fished here many times but this is the first time I went to shoot photographs. Its not much of a falls as falls go but as I looked at this image and was processing it there he was staring right at me. Look at the rock in the center of the image ,can you see the wizard looking right at you? The more I look at it the more it freaks me out.
Part of the fun of NY Comic Con is people-watching in the Food Court, where everyone is eating while in costume.
In preperation for LotR Gandolf figure, I'm experimenting with adding hair to wizard hat.
This is my first try and it is OK. I think the hat sits a bit too high, but the hair does add some character to the figure.
I had to modify the hair and the hat unfortunately. Was hoping to only modify one of them.
What do you think?

This iconic sea-stack - looking like a Wizard's hat - is well known to folks on the central Oregon coast. Here I was trying for something a bit different, using a long-exposure to get a smokey effect around the foreground rock.
Overall I quite like the shot, but am disappointed over the lack of a sense of scale. Ideally I think someone - or something - would need to be in the frame to give a sense of size and scale.
