This works, but only picks up stations I can't get on any other radio, mostly foreign language. It has a warm tone. It was brought to England from New Zealand where every antique shop has a whole bunch of bakelite wirelesses.

I am continuing to go to the Fitness Center at the Valdosta Country Club about 2 or 3 times a week and workout with my personal trainer. This is the second week that Billy has had me do 4 minutes on the treadmill as a part of my routine -- 5 exercises at 4 times each. I've been walking to the mailbox and back twice a day for 5 days a week. I am watching what I eat. At first I was eating 1200 calories a day. Now I'm eating about 1500 calories a day. I have lost about 4 pounds. And last, but not least, I'm still attending my Line Dance class on Tuesday evenings. I'm not great at line dancing, but I do stay up on the floor moving for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
During NTEN's 2008 Non-profit Technology Conference a group of techies participated in several volunteer projects to bring technology to communities battered by the 2005 Katrina hurricane.
My group, comprised of consultants, non-profit workers, and Cisco Systems, traveled to a community center in St. Bernard Parrish to install wireless access points. St. Bernard Parrish was the hardest hit during the flood - only 6 houses were left standing out of 25,000 when the water rose 25 feet in 23 minutes.
It was an honor to be able to provide some help to this community and I'm grateful for the opportunity to talk with residents and keep the hope and momentum of positive work flowing.

RIC standing for "Roberts Integrated Circuit". As you can see, this is an AM only set. I think it dates from the early 70's, though it looks strikingly similar to my R 505 which dates from about 1975.
