In a parking lot under a highway interchange, Baltimore’s Farmers Market and Bazaar has a busy day despite a heat index over 100 degrees in Baltimore, MD on Sunday, July 8, 2012. . Many of the vendors now accept Baltimore’s Farmers Market and Bazaar tokens thanks to the new wireless connected electronic card reader that accepts the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Nutrition Service’s (FNS) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards, Baltimore Bucks, and debit cards. Full functionality of the controller is retained, including the use of the whammy bar. It can be used wirelessly for about 50 hours on a charge, or if needed, while plugged into the Playstation 2's USB port (to charge, and/or play while charging.)

This is a prototype of the optional Bluetooth-based cordless version of the Apple Mouse released in 2003 alongside with a matching wireless keyboard. This was Apple's first cordless mouse.
The bottom of the mouse is marked, "Prototype" and "NOT FOR SALE." And there's a sticker on the bottom which appears to say, "EVTb" on it.
Different from the production version, the bottom has an Apple logo on it and it states, "Assembled In Japan."

I'm using a Hewlett-Packard RW6828 Smartphone running Windows Mobile 5. It has Wi-Fi access so I can tap into any wireless hotspots, Bluetooth to connect to my phone, laptop, or any PC I plug my Bluetooth dongle into, and can also be used with my phone's SIM card for telephony and/or data connectivity.
The Smartphone takes MiniSD memory cards, so it can read the MicroSD memory cards used in my mobile phone (using an adaptor), and another adaptor allows these MiniSD Cards to be read in my laptop, digital notepad, and camera.
I can use this device to edit Microsoft Office documents, provide basic editing to images, input data into custom databases, and log into servers using shell or GUI access. Using the wireless Bluetooth keyboard (seen here closed), data entry is fast and easy.
Wireless Outdoor Speakers. A great way to add music to your patio or deck. They move around easily and look awesome.

Well maybe not so much. My Billion router arrived yesterday so I got it set up. Some reviewers say they saw a worthwhile increase in ADSL speed, I can't say that but then my ADSL speed was already good.
What I have seen is strong wireless coverage throughout the house which is something I have not been able to achieve before with either the routers that Telefonica provided or my old access point.
So good result, Pam can surf the internet in bed on her iPad.

Wireless communication Wireless communication is among technology’s biggest contributions to mankind. Wireless communication involves the transmission of information over a distance without help of wires, cables or any other forms of electrical conductors. The transmitted distance can be anywhere between a few meters (for example, a television’s remote control) and thousands of kilometres (for example, radio communication).
some serial-to-serial RF link experiments I've been doing with a pair of arduinos ;)
those 6pin L-connectors are to plug into the arduino FTDI port, which is the hardware UART. Serial.print() to one and Serial.read() on another. its Just That Simple(tm).

A pre-release version of the new Cactus V4 wireless flash triggers arrived today. Cactus is using a photo of mine in the booklet that accompanies the new triggers, and they sent me a complimentary set as a gift. I'm going to be testing these over the next few days to see how much of an improvement they are over the rather clunky V2 triggers.
Right off the bat, I'm liking these already. The build quality is much better. There are 16 channels, all adjustable via external dip switches (the V2's switches were inside the battery compartment). The receiver uses AAA batteries as opposed to hard-to-find CR2s and has a much better hotshoe attachment. And they just look nicer in general. We'll see how well they perform in a shoot.
See the photo in the booklet here.
