This is my boyfriend's purchase from the Renegade Craft Fair. The guy had all sorts of wire sculpted people, all with different personalities, clothes, props, etc. Really cool booth. His shop is called BAGizzles, the link is in my super long blog post here, if you're interested:
Copper wire bubbles that spell 'peace.'
I'm getting ready for this show this weekend. About 2-3 weeks ago it seemed like I really didn't have much to do, but now that now that there's only one day, I'm realizing that there is lots to do, augh!

I found this rock in Vancouver and used silver wire, but it turned copper-looking. I used a green-colored leather cord to hang it from and made a monkey's fist @ one end of the cord then a loop @ the other.

I know many of you have probably seen something like this before but I thought it was interesting anyway. A tree growing around what was once probably a strand of a barbed-wire fence.
Looking at it in large size, you can also see other wires that the tree has grown around.
Oh wow, this is ancient. Dug out of the archives of an older gallery. From about 4 years ago!
My how time flies.
Came to mind when I was listening to an old song that went on for around 9 or 10 minutes but still felt like it wasnt long enough. Haha, I still dont know what my obsession with One Red Eye is.

Usually, I work hard to eliminate overhewd wires from my photos, often resorting to Photoshop to remove them when they interfere with what I am interested in showing. This is especially so when I am working on architectural shots.
We were visiting Clarksburg, ON on Thursday and I noticed all the wires overhead which caught my interest, especially with the dark blue sky and clouds behind them. So I decised to focus on them and see what I could do, intentionally putting them into the frame.
Now I am trying to figure out if they work best in colour or B&W. I can't say I have a real preference, although I am leaning towards the B&W images.
There are four shots in this series. I would value your opinion and any critique on how the shots could have been improved.

WIRED is the foremost chronicler of the tech revolution. And so for our 20th anniversary issue we put the emphasis where it belongs, on the people, places, and inventions that we've had the good fortune to cover over the last two decades. The sparseness of the cover—a simple list over a white background—belies the explosive nature of the ideas and innovations contained inside.
