pendientes araña de cobre esmaltado con serpentina y cuarzo verde
Strip-twisted wire is made by wrapping a strip around a thin wire core, removing the core, and then rolling to wire. This is a "pseudo-wire", and is really a type of tube.
This vase was rakued with a white crackle glaze. I weaved a stone in the front with copper wire after the firing. Cone 10 white stoneware.
Spinning burning wire wool to create falling 'sparks' of light. It's a really cool effect - look it up (and be safe, don't attempt without proper safety equipment etc.)

unsightly aerial cables of all sorts are a constant nuisance for photography but in this case I was able to work with them to frame the "Christ Church Parish" building in Burlingame, California.
This wire-crested thorntail / rabudito crestado was photographed at WildSumaco Lodge, Guamanà Napo Ecuador
I love how the English language common name for this bird incorporates the males' very top feature - the thin, wiry feathers at the top of its head - and the very bottom feature on both males and females, the sharply pointed, "thorn-like" shape of its tail tips.
This photograph was obtained at a facility with no wildlife in captivity. Some birds, mammals, and insects were drawn within photographic range by the provision of various carefully maintained foods appropriate to the species and habitat. Natural foods were also abundantly available in the area within and around the facility.
Inspired from Iza Malczyk bottle pendant design. A large faceted smokey quartz was constructed into a perfume bottle. The middle part was made from woven wires with Swarovski doughnuts in light topaz to balance the color of the pendant. An A grade teardrop glass bead is dangled to give a bi color look.
This pendant measures 9.5cm by 3cm.
A pair of Pheasants sculpted by Paula Joule Blake from Wire and seen in the grounds of "Kingston Lacy" House, Dorset.
Both the Auschwitz I and Birkenau concentration camps are ringed by miles and miles of barbed wire fencing that used to be electrified:
"There were cases in which desperate prisoners, unable to bear the camp terror, chose to throw themselves 'on the wire' - the term used in the camp jargon to describe suicide by electrocution on the electrified fence."
What kind of things would drive a person to do that?
