This image of Wire Pass was taken in September 2013. We were headed into Buckskin Gulch by way of Wire Pass and reached this drop when we encountered some hikers on their way out. They said it was too muddy at the confluence of Wire Pass and Buckskin to go up or down stream. While we were talking it started to sprinkle so we took a few more shots as we worked our way back out. By the time we were out of the slot it was starting to pour, and as we made the short hike back to the car it was raining so hard that we were falling down in the mud and could barely see the trail. We drove down to Stateline campground and waited for the rain to stop before we set up our tent. Driving into the campground we crossed the wash that runs into Wire Pass, but it was not flowing. A couple hours later we heard water and walked down to the wash, which was flowing 15-20 feet across and about 18 inches deep. The next morning, given the weather conditions, we decided to go with our fallback plan and headed for an option on higher ground at White Pocket. Fortunately the rains that kept us out of Buckskin provided some wonderful pools for our first ever visit to White Pocket. This vertical panorama is three portrait-oriented frames high with seven exposures per frame (21 exposures total), shot with a 24mm tilt-shift lens.

The power line is about 1.6 meters away from the road and is located in the middle of the road. It was like the tangled spider web in the middle of the street. And the bundled wires look like winding snakes.
People who go through this area if not paying attention may be caught in these wires. In particular, many wires are exposed! Very dangerous for people around.
Do not understand why the authorities did not move and redo this power line. and it's still here for a long time.
The area has an unusually large number of exposed electrical wires hanging overhead. Bundles of them are seen along the sides of buildings, tangled in alleyways, hoisted onto electrical poles.

This is one of the longest and largest perfectly straight walls I have seen in a slot canyon. It is in Wire Pass, a smaller canyon that the shorter trail leads you through on the way to Buckskin Gulch.
I bought some el wire and this is almost the first time we have used it. We need a lesson in el wire painting as its not as simple as a wool spin

A few years ago I stopped at the "Devil's Rope" Museum in McLean, Texas. I have never thought of barbed wire in the same way.

Utility poles like the ones this crew are working on carry electricity, phone, and cable lines across kilometers of wire, supported by approximately 140,000 poles. (Last year, Toronto Hydro started counting them all because they weren’t sure how many they owned.) And all but a small few of the (usually) 40-foot tapering towers are made of either wood or concrete, with some steel and aluminum in small numbers.
Why replace concrete with wood? Wooden poles are three times lighter and easier to work with.
