*heh* For my auction contribution I've mangled the definition of "remix" to include "copy of a page from Wired World in the style of Philip Bond with a broken wrist"
Guaranteed 100% non-original!
All finished! Size: 2.5" x 3.5" Collaged background, Golden Liquid acrylic paint, copper wire, purple glass beads, copper ink, thread. My favorite part of the ATC? The wire spiral is about 1/2" off the paper so it has some fun dimension.
It's the 1st time I've done a wire sculpture for an ATC! This gem will be going to "Lady" on Swap-bot for the "Beaded Wire ATC" hosted by Smurfellie. I hope she likes it ;-)
I grabbed the wire with the round-nose pliers where I wanted the straight part to end, and the loop (to hang the feather from) to begin.

The Modesty
This is a picture of electric wires. I shot it at an angle because I was interested in the lines in the picture.

The wire-tailed swallow (Hirundo smithii) is a small passerine bird in the swallow family. It is mainly resident, but populations in Pakistan and northern India migrate further south in winter.
:::::
This bird is found in open country near water and human habitation. Wire-tailed swallows are fast flyers and they generally feed on insects, especially flies, while airborne. They are typically seen low over water, with which they are more closely associated than most swallows.
:::::
The neat half-bowl nests are lined with mud collected in the swallows' beaks. They are placed on vertical surfaces near water under cliff ledges or more commonly on man-made structures such as buildings and bridges. The clutch is three to four eggs in Africa, up to five in Asia (Turner and Rose). These birds are solitary and territorial nesters, unlike many swallows, which tend to be colonial.
