100 Steel poles, miles of constatina wire, and 400 sq. yards to cover... what better way to spend a searing summer afternoon in Iraq?
I just went out for a few hours and treated myself and my camera to whatever we could find today!
Curly, rusty barbs on the wire fence!
First film through my Pentax 6x7.
Really impressed - think it's a keeper.
Me and my cousin Harry went for a walk out back of the village where my dad lives.

I like the utter chaos the wires create and in a way, it's the way religion is treated in India. Religion is very much a central part of this chaos of connections

This is the result of my second attempt at this photo... the first was taken during the PhotoSoc walk behind Eastwood (Bath), this one I came back a little bit later to take again as I was not happy with the first one, although thought it was interesting.
ZURB Wired 2015: Meet Downtown Streets Team, Downtown Streets Team is celebrating 10 years of helping the homeless transform their lives through their unique work and community beautification programs, in addition to providing assistance with housing, medical care and education. We’re going to help them by creating a brand new marketing campaign that includes a new responsive website, trifold brochure, postcard sized pamphlets for handing out on the streets, posters and some t-shirt designs.
The ZURB Wired 24-hour marathon is where our team and the team from one lucky local nonprofit get together to do something great in 24 hours. We spend the day helping the nonprofit solve a big challenge; whether it be marketing for an upcoming event, or completely overhauling their brand; and we get it all done in 24 hours.
ZURB is a close-knit team of product designers that help companies design better. www.zurb.com
Things like this make my day. I am not sure how that stick is stuck there. It is obviously not wrapped around the wire. A small piece of tape perhaps? Some gum? A drop of glue? Two inches of thread? I saw this walking home from breakfast at Wishbone. Picture taken on Morgan between Randolph and Lake.
These are my first attempt at the eye wrapping, much better now :)
These are swarovski color night blue pearl beads that are hand wire wrapped with silver pl wire to form "Eyes". A form of what we used to call "God's Eyes"..take a closer look at the photo! Look at the center of the pearl, do you see the pupils? I thought that was sooo neat, it's a trick of the camera-as the bead is actually a solid color, the camera reflected and created the apearance of an eye! beadLbrain
Here we are in the second decade of the 21st century and the electric company STILL has power lines on poles instead of underground.
No wonder some people with money that can purchase beach houses in this California Central Coast beach town have second thought about buying in certain neighborhoods.
