Here we are in the second decade of the 21st century and the electric company STILL has power lines on poles instead of underground.

Why I hate living in the city! I have friends that will be moving back to Ohio in 2 years and they are begging me to go with them. It is tempting!

We've all seen sneakers hanging from utility wires, but it's not every day - especially during the summer - that you see ice skates like these spotted hanging from utility wires on Greenwood Ave. in Wakefield, Massachusetts.

....but I really liked the light in this photo, the different colours in the rust and the contrast between the rust and the rest of the wire. I also think it looks pretty good viewed on black.
